This is a review for VS-51KSI was looking for a safe key cabinet to use in my building. At first I was looking for a non-battery operated lock, but when I saw this product, I became interested because of the specific features:- Two different sets of pin codes- Lockable key drop slot- Emergency physical keysI contacted the company to ask specific questions, and I got the answers right away. I am satisfied with my email communication with the vendor and decided to purchase it.The package came in well-protected packaging. Overall, the key cabinet is sturdy and heavy. The design is beautiful.It comes with 4 sturdy mounting bolts, 2 emergency override keys, 2 keys for the key drop slot, 51 plastic key chains in 4 colors, 6 key racks, 4 AA batteries and a manual.These are the aspects that I like about this key cabinet:PIN CODESThe system allows 2 sets of pin codes. The first set is called employee pin codes. These codes can simply be modified by unlocking the safe first (without a need of remembering the old codes)The second set is called master pin codes. These codes are harder to modify because you need to know the old pin combination to create a new one.LOCKABLE KEY DROP SLOTThis is a function that many other cabinets don’t have. I find it really useful. Before I purchased this item, I had a doubt that an opening in the cabinet might allow a sort of “fishing”, but after seeing the structure of this drop slot, I imagine it must be hard to “fish” the keys from the whole. Also, the possibility to lock the opening reassures the safety of this cabinet.EMERGENCY OVERRIDE KEYSThe emergency override keys look strong and seem to be really safe as they have dual bits. It’s not like the usual keys that can be easily duplicated. In my conversation with the vendor, I was told only the authorized owner of the safe can request for extra keys.LED LIGHTThe LED light inside the cabinet is a nice additional touch. It turns on automatically when the cabinet is opened and stays on for about 30 seconds.Other aspects that may be useful are the option to:- Show or hide the pin codes on the screen- Turn on or off the sound- Turn on and off the LED light on the screenOverall, I am satisfied with this key safety cabinet. The price is good and I like the fact that the vendor is attentive.

This is the highest quality key safe in the USA and possibly the world.Because of multiple business and property I have owned I have bought a fair share of key safes.Their quality vary from very thin metal to thicker metal. However even the thicker ones have had the door knobs or the electronic keypad break or malfunction.I’m convinced buying this Viking model WILL SAVE YOU MONEY IN THE LONG RUN.With that said let me share a list of qualities this safe has that no other key safe I've come upon has.1. It metal thickness is much greater by a large margin than any safe for key storage has.2. It has spring opening doors.3. It has super strong hinges that I believe will withstand a sludge hammer attack.4. Super thick bolts easily twice the size of most key safes. Again I think this will withstand a serious attack.5. The door has motorized opening. Not a necessity but sure is nice.6. A lockable slot for key drop off. This is not necessary in all businesses but it came very handy in certain situations.7. Two PIN codes: Master code AND employee code. Yes there are disgruntled employees that will change the code only to cause you massive frustration.8. Super high security keys. I have not seen any other safe with such a key.9. The option to see and not see the PIN code digits.10. Laser cut door prevents easy prying11. Internal LED light so sweet. This can be turned off or reactivated if you need more time.12. Sound on/off. Personally I like the sound when I press buttons as it sounds futuristic in my opinion. But I know people have different preferences.13. Super high quality paint job that is very difficult to scratch.After making this list I realized, even more, how much better this Viking key safe is than others.

Needed a secure key cabinet for a property, one that used a combination so I didn't have to go unlock the cabinet on another rainy night when the janitors forgot their key. Also needed one that was deep enough to hold the same janitors wad of keys for the various offices. Was leery of a battery operated digital combination lock, so a manual key option was a must. This cabinet checked all the boxes. The bolts would definitely deter attempts to pry the door open, the depth & capacity of the cabinet is more than sufficient, the manual key works well, and the key drop slot is a plus. Note that the cabinet is HEAVY and took two of our maintenance techs to mount on the wall.

Works well, feels sturdy. I’m not a fan of the plastic control panel and buttons but it works at this price point.

This has turned out to be a wonderful safe. We like it tremendously!

Using as a small wall mounted jewelry safe.

I quite like this safe. It appears to be very sturdy, and the included mounts and accessories are a nice touch. The keypad with key/manual override is perfect for my needs, as well as the ability to program individual codes.
