Not great for scratching / club use
I bought these Ortofons to replace my Shure M44-7 cartridges.The Ortofons fit perfectly on my Technics headshells, and have a nice quality feel to them. They actually sound a bit warmer than the Shures.Unfortunately, though, they bounce around like crazy. If you scratch, they jump. If you adjust the pitch on your turntable, they lose their tracking. The first night I used these at the club it was so painful. Bass vibrations and pushing the buttons on my Dicers caused them to skip. I even had the same horrible results after I added the extra weight part. Taped a penny on top of the cartridge as well and they are still very unreliable.If you’re a DJ looking to match the tracking ability of the Shures, you will be disappointed with these. Look elsewhere!

these some bad ass mofos!!!! of course going from OEM headshell/styli to anything aftermarket is good. going to the s120's, i would compare to going from a chevy kobalt to a nissan gtr!

This might be your dream cartridge for recording and play back. This thing will track anything give it and the output is unbelieveable for recording your lowoutput lps. Sound is smooth and flat, couldn't ask for anything else. All the serantos have the same spects so take your pick, the two pack is best buy. Have fun. Crankitup long beach....mph
