I know that Yorkshire has a long tradition of English Tea. I was interested in Yorkshire in regards to the 'Downton Abbey' setting, and enjoy, oddly enough, having a glass of tea while I watch this excellent public television broadcast.The reason it is the best. Here in Clarksville, Michigan, United States of America, We have hard water. I love our water. The chance to drink a tea that is made for this water makes it the best around.My only worry about this tea is that the shipping is too cheap. I can only imagine that there is no profit at all, which worries me because I believe in fair trade.

Been a Yorkshire Gold drinker for years, moved to a place with very hard water and noticed I stopped liking it as much.Did a random google search, heard about this and gave it a shot.This is the real deal. My tea is rich and flavorful again. I’ll be buying this from now on.I do a 2 min brew, no bag squeeze and this isn’t bitter at all. There’s a distinct tannin taste which you could eliminate with a shorter brew if you find it unpleasant.

I have very hard water. I descale my kettle once a week or more. I drink Yorkshire regular but it just didn't taste right thanks to my water even though I filter it. Decided to try this. A nice cuppa, but I didn't feel the difference was worth the price difference. If your water isn't rock hard, this might work better for you.

This makes a perfect cup of tea with our hard well water. The brew is very strong, but has a smooth finish. I hope to always be able to have this tea. My British friends are always so impressed!

Great tasting tea

After moving to the southwest where the water is hard, I was shocked to find that none of my teas were brewing properly. I did some research and decided to purchase this tea. Each bag is large, enough to brew two cups (in my opinion), but personally I do not like the flavor when I drink it straight, though it could just be due to the water (too much tannin without any brisk or bright notes to round it all out). My solution has been to make chai, adding some ginger powder, cloves, and cinnamon. It has become my daily brew with this little tweak.

I'm a Yorkshire Tea lover and recently moved into a harder water area. I couldn't believe how different my brew tasted and was gutted that my tea was completely ruined by the water quality. I ordered some of these, expecting to still have that weird hard water taste, however, these tea bags are pure magic. They essentially make your tea in a hard water area taste exactly like normal Yorkshire Tea. It nullifies the chemical taste you get from hard water and you're left with a beautifully smooth brew.The only downside is they're much more expensive than regular Yorkshire Tea and I would like to be able to bulk buy. Definitely stock up when on offer!If you live in a hard water area as a tea lover, you MUST get these.
