Great Weather Station
I’ve had several weather stations in the past, however the AcuRite Iris unit is by far the best. Easy to assemble, no programming required, worked great immediately. Highly recommend.

So cool I bought two!
This weather station is super easy to install, set up, and pair. I love the color display - very easy to see and discern various weather elements. The debris screen on the outdoor unit is great to keep the unit functioning with minimal cleaning. I loved it so much I bought one for my son and he is equally fascinated by the output - we are both avid gardeners and skywatchers, so we love the weather and the moon phase features.

Great product.
Works well and is very accurate. No wifi but you don’t really need it to see the good quality display. Setup is easy and you can read the display from far.

Awesom Product - Cumbersome Tech Support.
Overall, I'm happy with this product. I've owned one before. I am NOT happy with the customer service. The unit came with a faulty wall-plug power supply, wherein a wire in the cord is broken, causing the display unit to not back-light unless the wire is manipulated. I have registered the product and contacted tech support to report the problem and request a new power supply. For a simple broken wire problem, I get scripted replies from tech support telling me to remove/replace batteries, do a reset, etc., all the stuff that is listed in the manual to do if the unit is not working. It's working! Now, they want info that is already in my registration info, plus pics of the unit after doing the unnecessary reset procedure for a unit that is already working, before they will send me a good power supply. I just need a simple power supply replacement so that the lighting can be stable. It's that simple.Additionally, I have doubts about the operability of the Weather Sensor aspirating fan. I'm getting scripted replies on that, too. Come on, AcuRite. You have a great product but, for the price, shouldn't have to jump through cumbersome, scripted tech support procedures.

Fabulous fun!
The media could not be loaded. I’m head over heels about my new Acurite weather station (model 06016)! Several years ago, I bought an earlier model (same sensor but old display), and it became an integral part to enjoying our yard. But after neglecting to clean it of bugs and debris last year, I decided to brush it off outside then ‘deep clean’ it over my kitchen sink. Big mistake. Because as hard as I tried not to, some water did get up its underside, which as the manufacturer warned, could destroy its sensors. Sure enough, water must have gotten up it because after minutes upright to drip dry, the solar panel fogged up and it stopped transmitting to the monitor. Losing it was like loosing internet access!I grieved my loss, had only myself to blame, then decided to move on. Fortunately, the new sensor has the same exterior design, and fit right onto my universal pole, and like my prior, without the bracket. I did save the bigger set screw my prior had to secure the new one.BTW, the new station’s bag of hardware is hidden inside the battery compartment (Amazon directed me to Acurite’s website, which says it would be). It turned out, I didn’t need any of it for my installation. The monitor is big, intuitive, and easy to set up. Its data is more informative, including notches for the two previous wind directions, and its ‘weather select’ feature (I love that I can set it to display wind chill)!Photos show old and new.

Didn’t work, relocated, now it does!
It was a Christmas (2024) present for my husband, and he didn’t get it set up until a couple of weeks ago (April 2025). Found the perfect spot etc.It worked fine for about a week, then stopped receiving the signal. He changed batteries and it still didn’t work. Finally found out why, or at least we think we did since it’s been working ever since. We had the display plugged into an area where multiple devices were plugged into (multiple chargers mostly). My husband said he’d read somewhere, while troubleshooting, that it shouldn’t be located near other electronic devices. Relocated it, and it’s been working ever since.

Worth the money!
We had an older La Crosse Technology weather station that eventually quit working. I researched many weather stations and decided this one had the best reviews from reliable sources.I made the right decision. The instructions were easy to follow and the station and display are built well. The display in particular is laid out well giving a lot of information without being too crowded or having to click through menus. If you buy this and think the fasteners are missing, look in the battery box of the station; they're in there. Also, while you are in the battery box, look for the QC number code which will be the date code you need for the product registration. Don't wait until it is way up in the air.I mounted this on a galvanized steel pole that I had in stock and fastened it to the eaves of our home. The pole is about 8 feet long and the entire station is about 17 feet from the ground and away from obstructions. Make sure everything is level and use the on board bubble level if you can. I devised a hinged mount so the station can be easily lowered to ground level for the annual or biannual battery replacement. The solar panel just helps run the fan which moves the air over the internal temperature sensor to help give an accurate reading when the station is in the sun. The panel does not charge the batteries but they strongly recommend lithium batteries which hold the charge much better in the cold. After only one week of use, I can highly recommend this basic station as being well designed, accurate and very useful.

Very good instrument
Does great job reporting current conditions. Accurate temperature, humidity, pressure and rainfall as compared to NWS, aneroid barometer, mercury thermometer.
