Little Bird

At first I didn’t understand this book, yet I had an emotional reaction. I returned to it many times across different days and shared it with others. The images are art, and the text is poetry. The combination is masterful and powerful. I recommend this book for all ages.

This is beautiful children's book with a whimsical story line told mostly through pictures.

This is such a great find! The illustrations are magical, and the story is absolutely lovely. I have already given one as a gift (to another adult who also adored it). This will be kept on my favorite shelf for a long, long time. I also sense I'll be buying more as gifts (I had put a moratorium on buying books -- I have a lot of books -- but am so glad I made an exception and purchased this little gem). Books are magic, but this one especially. Recommend!

I first "read" the book to my 3 year old son by talking through the pictures - I didn't realize that the text was there until half way through because it isn't on every page. He loved the book, wanted to talk about it and then asked me to reread it to him several times. The second time, I actually read the text and I fell in love with the beautiful message of the book - which reads like a poem. Highly recommended. It has become a favorite for both of us!

Beautiful in every way...

This exquisite picture book must be savored slowly. Each page is simple and as the pages are turned the reader (few words in print but many in your mind) sees a story unfolding between the truck driving man and a small bird he finds in the back. I won't spoil the plot but it is transformative. It makes the point that kindness in small ways and for small things can change everything. WONDERFUL book.

I bought Little Bird for my 1 year old nephew because he is enamored by books, well the pictures in books and not so much what they have to say. I saw this as a book that would hold a little man's interest, a book he could grow into and it's definitely not like anything else on the children's book market.

Beautiful book. Beautiful artistry and just a lovely story. I read it to the kids in a preschool, and was moved by it and got it for my mother. Arrive promptly and well packaged.

This is a very special book with a wonderful message about friendship and happiness in moments of our lives. My children, 4 and 5, loved taking in and describing the story as it develops. This book has become very special to us, as we have a special love of birds!

My granddaughter loves it.
