Pentel Ain Mechanical Pencil Leads 0.2mm 2B, 5 Pack/total 100 Leads Value Set

Got these a bit ago, work great, the Japan MFG version of the AIN STEIN, very smooth and pleasant for 0.2mm pencil! Recommended!

Excellent Pentel next generation 0.2mm leads in 2B darkness manufactured to strict quality and uniform standards. Hard to find such premium leads in 0.2mm diameter size to fit the ever growing number of 0.2mm mechanical pencils and reasonable price for 100 pieces. It must be difficult to manufacture such compared to the more 0.3mm and 0.5mm leads. Even harder to handle carefully without breaking them refilling pencils. But the availability of the 0.2mm diameter leads makes it very easy to write some of the finest and narrow lines possible and keep a consistent thin width, with no need to rotate lead or re-adjust pencil when line thickness changes.

Not only am I a pathetic chili-head, but also a mechanical pencil-head. I have far more pencils than I should: all different lead diameters and so forth. The 0.2mm is a tricky lead diameter, because the lead is nearly the diameter of a human hair (OK, a little lighter). I have tried many of the various brands and this one seems a bit more durable than the others. Maybe it is added polymer - don't know, but they last longer without snapping. 5 stars for Pentel.

VERY GOOD PRODUCT

I journal every day and enjoy writing with mechanical pencils, my favorite are my .2mm ones. These leads write smoothly and feed well. I write with a retractable pipe, so lead breakage is kept to a minimum. I recommend this lead.

If you look at this lead the wrong way it will break into pieces. I got this lead for my Orenz Nero as it was pretty much the only 0.2 mm lead I could find, but it works very well. It’s definitely the best you can get for your money in this size. Please be careful handling the lead as it is also a HUGE pain to have to pick up if you drop it.

Darker than HB (as expected). It is not easy to break. I use it with the Pentel Orenznero 0.2mm pencil.

My husband is obsessed with these they are such good quality. He loves that it's thin and easy to use.

I love these pencil leads. They're just perfect. Package arrived early. Very pleased.

Handy for annotating and updating prior writings done in 0.5 mm. Am using 2B leads to stay visible. Also good for fine lines on tech drawings. When a lead jam occurs, at my 80 years vision and hand accuracy, it is hard to introduce the cleaning wire provided into the feed tube. 0.5 mm much easier. Original idea from Germany was to reduce use of the rare resource graphite. But I break enough 0.2 mm leads to reduce the advantage. They are still not as sharp as a well-sharpened wood pencil, I find, so thatthe results are not as legible, but save a lot of sharpening. 2B wears down rapidly. Don't let them all slide out of the container by accident - they are hard to find on a carpet.
