The Amazon towels were inadequate in every way and left me searching for better. I now know a lot more about towel ...
Im a 30yr old single guy who knew nothing about towels when I bought this towel set. The Amazon towels were inadequate in every way and left me searching for better. I now know a lot more about towel construction and materials. I wholeheartedly recommend you avoid these Amazon towels and instead spend a little extra money on a better towel. After all, you probably wont be buying towels again for several years. After using these Amazon towels for 4 months I finally gave up and threw them in the trash. They werent even suitable as work rags...Heres why. After 20+ wash cycles THEY STILL SHED! My bathroom has had a near constant layer of blue lint covering every surface. How this happens I dont know. The towels no longer leave large amounts of lint in the dryer. Instead it deposits onto my skin and on the toilet water tank and counter surfaces.I finally gave up on these towels and did some googling for alternatives. I settled on the "Fieldcrest" series at Target. I couldnt be happier. They cost more than double these amazon towels but they stopped shedding after the 2nd wash/dry cycle. They feel heavy(exspensive), fluffy, absorbent without simply pushing water around, and best of all they dont leave blue lint all over my bathroom! I bought the Fieldcrest towels because they got consistently good reviews online. I concur, they are great. Currently, each of the bath towels are $13 at Target. But they feel so well made that I probably wont have to buy towels again for a few years. I dont mind spending some extra cash on something I use EVERY day.

Neverending lint!
Terrible! Absolutely unusable! The lint is ENDLESS!!!! I've had these since July 2017, and I never got to use them - the only thing I did was washing them every 2 weeks with other laundry, in hopes that lint would wash out. That makes it about 12 washes, and the lint is still there in the same amount!!! It gets into eyes, nose, hair, sticks to skin all over the body... I don't know what to do any more! Moreover, these towels' lint has clogged up my washing machine so terribly it started leaking - just look at the filter on the first photo and what I've taken out of it on the second.Don't waste your money on this terrible product!

Not Happy!
First off I need to say that I bought a lot of these towels in Black, and in Grey.....I washed them (separately) before putting them in my closet. What a mess! The lint that came off of these was crazy...my washer was loaded with the fuzz as well as my dryer, and when I pulled them out, I always shake them, and again, the fuzz went all over and my laundry areas needed to be swept. Several of them also came apart at the edges. I ALWAYS keep packaging, but this time I threw it all away or I would return them. Never again! I will also put this on the review for the grey towels.

Good value, exactly as advertised.
This is a 2020 review of the 12-pack washcloths. I usually don't bother doing a review of products that already have 15,000 reviews, but I have noticed a variance in the reviews of quality over the years 2016-2020. Let me just say that the 2020 product I ordered was among the lowest priced of washcloth sets, and they are of appropriate size, absorbency, medium softness, colorfastness, and no lint experienced after several washings to date. I would compare them to a Bed Bath and Beyond product I most likely would have paid 3x for. I got a good deal with these and I have to say, I am a little suspect of a number of 2020 one-star reviews that seem to be in very broken English and/or showing photos that bear no resemblance to the product I received.

Great towels for the price
Great towels for the price. I'm not sure why other reviewers are not happy with these. I wasn't expecting a $30 bath towel when I received these. They are about the same quality I would receive in a mid priced towel at a department store. Yes they shed the first time you use them, but after the 2nd washing, I didn't have any shedding. Would buy again.

AMAZON SUPERIOR TO WALMART
I first ordered a set of these and a set of Walmart washcloths about two years ago for use at the gym. I carry a lot of gear on my wheelchair so having washcloths absorbent enough that my aide and I can each use one for washing and another for drying saves a lot of space! I use bleach and wash and dry on high heat weekly.AMAZON*fluffy and soft as ever.* No unraveling at seams* Absorbent enough to dry off with so don't need a towelWALMART *so rough and thin after 2-3 months of washing that I can only use them for exfoliating my feet.* Despite far less usage, the Walmart washcloths began unravelling after a few washes. All are unravelling now*Most have holes in them

Cheap, horrible material!
I don't see how this product has 4 stars. I got the black towels. First use, I was covered in fuzz and so was most of my bathroom. I thought if I washed them, it would remove the problem...NOPE. It got worse. When I dried off, there was even more black fuzz than before. I have washed several times now, and still the same problem. Horrible product and would not buy again or in another color!!!!

A sturdy reusable towel in during these "disposable" times
I've recently decided to go to using cloth towels instead of paper towels for everything except as napkins. I've tried a few types of fabrics and nothing beats cotton for absorbency and ability to launder. Since I use these to dry dishes, clean countertops, and floor spills, I bleach these in hot water even though the seller recommends against bleach. These have shown no degradation over the last several months of bleaching in hot water. I wash the whole lot about once every 9 days. I did the math and these have helped me save over $30/month in paper towels. I couldn't believe how much I was spending on paper towels. You can't beat the price to usefulness of these.

Six months later, and these are still shedding black ...
Six months later, and these are still shedding black fuzz every time I use them. After drying off with one of these towels, you'll find yourself wanting to jump back into the shower. They're soft, and they look decent, but they fail at being towels.

Soft and absorbent, larger than most towels
What I like best about these towels is how big they are. I'm six foot and this towel is a bit longer than I am tall, and maybe 4 inches wider than any other towels I have. They're pretty soft while still being absorbent. They look nice and are good quality as are most Amazon essentials products I've bought, so I was happy to see that the quality is as good for the towels. I'll buy them again. For this price two large, soft towels are a steal.I bought them in gray so it will be difficult to see fading anyways, but in a few months I will see how they've held up in the wash.

Serving it’s purpose
I ordered this on Thursday and got them at 11am. Amazing. I bought these to end using disposable wipes once and for all and to be honest, these aren’t the greatest. Their very thin, I can see light pass through them. I’ve already washed them and they’re all curled up and look old already. The colour has faded slightly and they are not soft at all. For the purpose their gonna be serving I don’t care all that much but they should have been cheaper.

Low quality and thin material - probably won’t last very long
I was a bit disappointed with this towel set as the material feels cheap and it’s thin. I have purchased things with Amazon basics before and found the quality was high so the quality being low on the towel set came as a surprise to me. I would not buy these again.
