I was quite impressed with how well this product worked! I read the reviews, and the most important thing I read was to take your time and apply several layers building up to the level of the original surface. We had a hole in our leather couch about an inch wide. The hole was in a circular shape. We used the mesh provided and built the layers up one by one, letting them dry 3 hours in between. You couldn't even tell there had been a hole afterward! Our couch was mult-itoned red leather. We started with the darkest colors first after custom blending and dappled on the lighter colors after we had built up the hole to be level with the leather. Worked like magic!

The color matching can be tricky, but I don't think there's any easy way to do this. I ended up using a blend of three colors (cream, tan, black) to get amazingly close to the original leather color. Dries flexible like real leather, but I did apply three coats to fill the cracks in my car seat. Make sure to mix up some extra in the little container that gets sent, so you can seal it off and apply another coat when the first dries.

After my Amazon research for a leather repair kit I landed on this one. I am very happy with the results and while I notice you can tell a slight difference close up, you do not notice the repair as a whole. I have given in 4 stars (wish I could do 4.5) because compared to what my sofa looked like before the difference is huge and well worth it. However, there are a few things I would like to see different, and this goes for all leather repair kits.I really wish there was some type of colormatch app to help you match your color easier. While this one includes a chart it just tells you the two colors to use to try to match your color. I ended up using 4 different colors to get the closest match I could.I wish that there was an option for a "bigger repair" type kit. What I mean by that is as you can see I had large areas to cover. You are given a tiny tiny brush and a very small plastic spatcula. I needed up using the spatcula but using some paper towel (sponge would have been better) to help blend the color into the large areas. I would like to see a larger container for mixing. Once you have the right color if you have to make more it is almost impossible to make the same color as the first attempt was just trial and error adding in colors. I would also like to see a much larger type applicator maybe a sponge of some sort to be able to blend over large areas.It would be nice if there was the ability to add something to the coloring to make it a little more creamy (like a balm) that you could rub over a large area to fill in small cracks. Kind of a two in one type kit for specific areas and large areas.Despite "wishing" for these features the kit really helped hide the terrible wear and scratches from my dog, a much cheaper option then getting a new sofa. I do want to note that while using the repair color I did also use a little bit of leather conditioner to try to fill in the small cracks on my own. My granddaughter wears lots of vinyl for her work and it get ripped a lot. Not sure why she said she works at the restaurant. hard to use with my arthritis

This leather repair kit worked wonders on my car seats. The instructions were easy to follow, and it came with everything I needed to fix a couple of small cracks and scuffs. The color matched perfectly, and the adhesive dried quickly, making the repair look seamless. It’s affordable and gave my leather seats a new life. Highly recommend!

**Update** I'm getting there. No need to throw this jacket away. A few more iterations and it'll be fantastic."Slow and Steady". I can do this. And with some very helpful support from Coconix I feel confident. Great product. It really repairs the 3 bad tears -- I'm getting good at this. Definitely got my money's worth.

I have to say, I purchase this product over 6 months ago. I don't know why I was hesitant to use it when I first purchased it. As you can see from the first photo, severe damage on one area of our couch. First, I wiped the area down with alcohol and let it dry. I then mixed my color and applied several light coats of the product, letting it dry between each layer (a blowdryer works wonders). I let it rest for about a week, just to be cautious, then sanded down the rougher areas and wiped the sanded residue off with a damp cloth. I let that dry and then applied a few more layers of the product that I was able to save in the provided little jar. It isn't perfect, but I am so impressed with how much damage was repaired. I honestly don't think anyone would even notice the patch if they didn't know how horrible the condition of the area was before. It's amazing how far a little bit of the product will go.

UPDATE (05/09/2025): I received a reply from Coconyx about the product and they were very helpful, providing step-by-step instructions for my repair. I have yet to try the product, but when I do I will report back. I have updated my original 1-star review to 4 stars pending that result.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The product sounds promising, but the literature says the consumer can send some photos and the company will advise them with the needed colors and/or the best way to make the repair. I sent photos and information about the chair that needs the repair about a month ago and have yet to hear back. Therefore, I have not used the product and cannot say how well it works. I'm giving it one star just because it does sound promising.
