I paid $12 to get it overnighted and could not be more pleased. Restored a dead pro-controller that wouldn't charge or turn on anymore. The kit comes with a bunch of mini screwdrivers and some pry tools, so you can field fix most devices with only what's in the kit. For the pro-controller you only need the mini-cross head type screwdriver; take out 2 screws to remove the legs, then 4 more screws to remove the back cover, pop out the old battery, pop in the new one, reassemble the cover and legs and you're done in <5 minutes. (The old dead battery was swollen and not in good shape, I will take that to the battery drop off asap as its not safe to keep malfunctioning Li-Ion batteries in the house).

My 3DS original battery was bloated after years of use, and no longer held a charge. Replaced with this and it works like new! Appreciate the included tools, though they weren't needed as I have my own. Very well wrapped to prevent damage. Will use in the future if I need another replacement!

Didn't really expect much from this other than a battery and tools. Battery was perfect. The size was an exact match for my 2DS. Fits like a glove with no wiggle room or looseness. It's pretty accurate to what they have displayed on the page. Not sure why there's so many saying otherwise. The tools included are pretty good for what they are. Nothing breaking or disintegrating with pressure applied. Though all of the tips but one was magnetic. There's also a suction cup thing and a slidy one that I can't remember the name for bit is very very useful if you're going to be doing more than just a simple battery replacement. The suction cup thing gets a special mention for making taking off the battery cover so so much easier. Can't really say on the performance at the moment but will update on a week or so to report back on if it's better or worse than stock on charge level or overheats. But, as it stands, very much worth the price. Get a battery and tools for anything you could need to do.

Battery works so far. The provided kit does not include the correct screwdriver type for a 2DS XL however, even though the battery itself is correct.

I bet the battery works well. The kit technically does include tools— screwdrivers and prybar, etc. Problem is, it doesn't include a triwing screwdriver. It's not a true battery replacement kit, just a battery with a toy toolset "kit." Buy a different product that includes the triwing driver that literally ALL nintendo DS's use.

I've had my Nintendo 2DS for a good 10 years now. The game can't hold a charge anymore, keeps blacking out, and the time keeps resetting. So I decided to buy a new battery for it, since this kit is cheap and there are tutorials on YouTube on how to put the battery in. I did just that and my 2DS played great for a few days. But then I accidently dropped it and now its back to blacking out and and time-resetting. It still charges properly now, so the battery is not the problem. Sucks I'm going to have to buy a new 2DS because of my clumsy hands, but this battery kit is amazing and the screwdrivers fit too.

The tools really came in handy in opening the system so I could replace the battery. The battery itself was packaged in a way that would prevent damage as well. So far so good with getting the system working. I would highly recommend this product.

My partner has an old handheld with the original battery...the thing lasted 10-12 years! However that battery wouldn't hold a charge for more that 30 minutes. Purchased this as a replacement and it works and fits the handheld perfectly. He's able to play for hours now with a plug.
