It started with a lawnmower, now my shed's full of Einhell...
This is an excellent chainsaw for the price. We already had an Einhell lawnmower, scythe + other tools so we had the batteries and opting for this was a no brainer. I've used chainsaws before (petrol) so wasn't really sure what to expect, but as with the lawnmower and the scythe the power and ease of use is outstanding. I'm using 2 x 4 amp hour batteries and find the whole thing easy to hold and control, it's heavy but not too heavy to use comfortably. The way the handles are designed makes it easy to use at various angles and being 36v it makes tough jobs quite a breeze. I was tempted to opt for smaller brother at 18v but I'm really pleased I went for this instead. First job was to help me dismantling an old summer house and several huge raised planters made from 4" x 2" wood. The saw literally cut like a knife through butter as they say, no pressure at all needed from me. I couldn't believe the amount of wood I'd got through in 10 minutes. The machine is a pleasure to use, no smelly oily drops everywhere and no messing about with engines and servicing. Just drop in a battery and press the 'go' button. Done! I never liked using ear defenders with some of my old petrol gear but the sound drove me mad after a while. This Einhell machine is super smooth to use and quiet enough that I hardly notice it in comparison. The chainsaw is superb but the operator is an idiot and forgets to look for rusty old screws sometimes! Luckily I've got an Oregon sharpening kit so 15 minutes later and the chain was cutting better than new. I've got a lot of work coming up with some old trees that need felling and logging and I was a bit worried about having the gear to assist me. I feel absolutely confident that this machine will be worth it's weight in gold on the job and will save a lot of grief. A fantastically useful chainsaw and highly recommended.

Decent purchase
Really useful to have around the yard and quiet enough to not disturb the neighbours. Cuts well for a battery operated saw, and tackles most jobs that we've asked from it. Easy to operate and decent quality.

Lovely bit of kit (although you need to use right handed)
This is my first full chainsaw, I have a Husqvarna pole saw but needed something more powerful. I had 2 batteries from an Einhell scarifier so given the cost ( relatively cheap) and reviews (excellent) this seemed the way to go. I didn't want to go down the petrol route as fumes give me concern.Setup: I'd seen some people struggled to get the chain on. It took my 10 minutes to fully setup but I did make a mistake - you can learn from mine! Important thing to do is firstly completely slacken the tension before putting on the chain, you then tighten up once it is on. Also make sure you have the bar flush. And make sure the chain is fairly tight, as the instructions show, you need to be able to pull it about 3mm max form the bar.You will need to lubricate the chain a lot, so make sure you buy the special oil in advance (I bought a couple of litres fairly cheaply from a hardware shop). My mistake was to put the chain on without paying attention to direct. When I tried to cut it barely cut the bark and there was a fair bit of smoking. It isn't clear that you have to put the chain on the right way round (until you look more closely). My tip is if the chain is right it looks like little trains going away from the chainsaw to the end of the bar! Once sorted (5 minutes) it was good to go.Cutting was simple. I did find it a bit tricky to hold in the button with my left hand and then I realised this was for right hand use only, so bear that in mind. The chainsaw cut thick trees without fuss, I did a lot of cutting in short bursts and the batteries lasted. When I'd finished (probably 10 minutes of cutting) the batteries still had one light left. So good for domestic use, worth getting a couple of extra batteries if you do more than that (although good to give the blade a rest)Overall really happy with the Einhell chainsaw, no reservations at all.

A delight to use, except for its awkward switch arrangement
It is a pleasure to use cordless tools in the garden - less noise, no fumes, quick to be ready for use - and this is no exception. It feels as powerful as the 40 cm Stihl 2-stroke that it replaces amd is clearly more efficient. It is however heavier than a 2-stroke (two batteries!). I took off one star because (like so many Einhell tools) the switch and its safety interlock are unnecessarily difficult and clumsy - so much so that I could not operate it with a glove on my right-hand, which can't be good for safety. Also, the oil feed was initially very slow, which I hopeI have fixed by running a small diameter rod through the bleeder in the oil cap.

WOW
Used this to cut off some thick branches from an apple tree. Used to cut off small branches with a manual saw which was hard work and I'd never have even considered trying a thick branch like the ones I did today. This chainsaw is amazing, it was like a hot knife through butter, it literally took seconds for each branch. It required no effort at all, other than to hold it firmly. The chainsaw and gravity did the rest. Wish I had puchased years ago to save my arms from all that sawing! I also wish I had more trees to cut as my morning job only took 3 minutes and I was just getting into the flow. Totally recommend.

Better than my petrol chain saw
It's lighter, cuts through 9inch branches with ease and so much easier. No messing with 2 stroke and starting. Press the button and instant. Chain easy to adjust and simple oil filled. Wouldn't go back to petrol now I've tried this.

Does the job very well
Had a good while now and used lots. Plenty of power easy to clean sharpen and set chain tension. Batteries enough power to do a good half hour to forty mins firewood shift. Enough for me. And then they recharge quickly. Very happy. I have a few tools of same make and would buy more
