my kids loved it big time
Step aside, Luke Skywalker, because there's a new favorite in the galaxy, and it's none other than the Rubie's Classic Child's Deluxe Darth Vader Costume and Mask! This costume is a total blast from the past, straight out of 1977, and it's bringing all the dark side vibes with a side of cuteness. The jumpsuit? Oh, it's got the works: an attached molded collar, chest piece, and boot-tops that would make even the Emperor nod in approval. And let's talk about the mask - it's not just any mask; it's an injection-molded piece of art with an elastic strap that ensures your little Sith Lord won't lose it while chasing down rebel scum (or just running around the backyard). The flowing cape with Velcro closure? It's like a black waterfall of villainy, perfect for dramatic entrances or hiding a stash of Halloween candy. But wait, there's more! This isn't just a costume; it's a ticket to imagination land. Once that cape is on, and the mask is secured, your child is no longer just a kid; they're the ruler of the galaxy, with the power to command the stars and the school playground. The attention to detail is so impressive that you'll half expect to hear John Williams' score playing every time they enter a room. And the best part? It's officially licensed, so you know you're getting the real Sith deal.Rubie's has been outfitting aspiring villains since 1950, and they've got this costume down to a science. It's not just about looking cool; it's about feeling cool, too. The fabric is lead-free, which means it's safe for all those galactic conquests. And when it's time to clean up the remnants of the Death Star (or just some spilled juice), the care instructions are as simple as a hand wash. Now, let's talk sizing because we know that every Darth Vader comes in different shapes and sizes. Rubie's gets that, which is why they've provided a detailed size chart. No need to use the Force to guess the right size - they've made sure that your little one will have a costume that fits just right, ensuring maximum comfort and mobility for lightsaber duels or trick-or-treating marathons. In conclusion, if you're looking to crown the coolest kid on the block this Halloween, or if you just want to add some fun to playtime, Rubie's Classic Child's Deluxe Darth Vader Costume and Mask is the way to go. It's a high-quality, fun-filled costume that will make your child's Star Wars dreams come true.

BEST DARTH VADER COSTUME EVER (no exaggeration)
when i got this costume for the 1st time, the left shin pad was twisting the leg and it was too tight, but then we returned the costume, got our money back, and when the new costume came, it was just like how the picture advertised it to be. I can't see how it would only be rated 1 star! I really like this AWESOME costume. But 1 thing you should know before you order this costume is that it doesn't come with gloves or a lightsaber. Although they aren't hard to find at walmart or any "toy" store. It is totally worth buying. And it is definitely worth the shipping time and the material isn't that cheap. I can sincerely tell you that it will last and if you are at all thinking "maybe i shouldn't buy it", then think twice because you will regret if you don't get it. I promise YOU WILL REMEMBER THIS REVIEW. May the force be with you.

Much nicer than "standard" Vader costume
Overall, this is a really terrific costume that will stand up to some wear and tear. My 4-year-old is much taller than most kids his age, and we were very frustrated to find that the standard Clone Trooper costume we bought at the store just barely fit him, despite being labeled as fitting kids 5-7 years old. This Darth Vader costume was a good find for us, as it's roomy and will last him for at least a year or two.The good: The costume itself is pretty well-constructed, and much more detailed than the standard Vader costume you find at a certain huge chain toy store. My son was really wowed by it, and wanted to wear it constantly despite the fact that it was the middle of summer! It's a lot of fun for imaginative play. The silver parts of the suit are actually constructed of a flexible plastic-type substance that gives it a much more realistic, 3-D look than the usual printed costume. The cape is detachable. The bad: Even though the costume shows gloves and a light saber, you'll need to purchase these items separately. (The gauntlet gloves are really nice, and in my opinion, really finish the costume.) The costume belt is WAY too big, and not very adjustable. To get it to fit our son, we have to tie it in the back rather than using the velcro fastener. This makes visiting the bathroom less than fun!I'd buy this costume again, but would be happier if they'd include gloves and make the belt more easily adjustable.

Never showed up... twice
It looks like an awesome costume, and the kid was super stoked for it. Ordered it once.... never showed up. It said label created but never moved. The seller did refund me. So I stupidly thought, OK stuff happens but surely it won't happen again? Re Ordered and lo and behold it happened again. WTF!? Never had an order just not ship.. So I went to party city and bought a different darth vader costume. Oh, and trying to get a hold of someone is impossible.

She loved it. So did we
Our daughter wanted to be Darth Vader for Halloween, so we ordered this. She loved it. So did we. It was standard costume quality, but has held up for multiple uses. She's a tall 6 year old, so we ordered the medium and it fit fine. The gloves, boots and light saber are not included.

nice costume
i bought it for my thirteen year old, and he loved it. the material is of reasonable quality, and the size is accurate if you usually buy 12-14 size cloths for them. (for my son i usually have to buy 14-16 size cloths and this one was a "tiny" bit small, but still he could manage it)the only negative thing was the cap do not have anything behind it so it will look odd. you could manage it by wearing a black hoody under or a black cap though.overall, worth the money.
