This is the 2nd of this particular baby monitor I have bought and the only reason why we are on our 2nd is because our toddler decided to jump off the sofa onto the monitor and broke the stand (he is 3 and boisterous and I wouldn't have expected the monitor to come out in one piece after that!)Bought the same model as it's a great camera - the night vision is really clear, the battery life is great and the sound is perfect. My favourite feature is VOX - basically the screen comes on and audio plays when the camera detects baby making noise and you can select from a low, medium or high sensitivity level - it always works, saves the battery and means you dont have to have the screen glaring all night. The video will then display whilst baby is making a noise and switch back off when baby is quiet - this mode is optional, you can have the video display on all the time if you want but I find the VOX mode great and it's on or off at the touch of a button.There are lullabies you can turn on to play to your baby which can help to settle them (again its one press of a button on the monitor and the music plays out of the camera in babys room). There are several different tracks (my little girl likes "can you feel the love tonight" from the lion king) and you select track by pressing music on and off and on again until your preferred track plays. There is also an intercom button which allows you to speak direct to baby via the camera.Simple controls, adjustable brightness, time and date settings, plug in and you're away and the chargers have plenty of cable length. You cant control camera position from the monitor unit but the camera is fully adjustable so there really is no need.Temperature display is accurate and volume up and down buttons are nice and clear.I've had no problems with the signal reach either. All round it's a great baby monitor- I've had other expensive brands and honestly this camera is better.

This is a great video monitor. I wanted one that didn't use my phone and had its own screen. Very easy to check on your little one in the night, and useful that it has the time and room temperature on display too. It picks up any sound/crying/talking well and it works well both during the daytime and with infrared at night.

Bought this because I had an old version gifted to me by someone else and the charging port failed so bought the new one.Off the bat I'm Dissapointed to see the old charging port is still there. It comes with its own cable so not an issue but its a mini USB port, not even micro. You're very unlikely to have a spare one of these lying about so buy a spare or look after this one.I love how old school it is compared to others on the market. It is smart in the way it saves battery but that's as far as that tech goes. There's nothing Smart about this monitor and that makes it perfect for parents worried about hacking or excessive emf in the bedroom.I've never had the range fail on me but I've never taken it further than the back garden either.The battery is much better than the description says. Seriously, its so good I charge it in the evening when she's in bed and I take the monitor to bed unplugged. In VOX mode the battery appears to last around twice as long as they claim. Maybe my baby is quieter than most? Dunno. But the battery is excellent.The buttons and menu take a little getting used to, it could be more intuitive. Infact the whole system needs an update. As I said, I owned a very old version of this before and the only change is the name on the front and some extra weight. The menus are very dated as is the start up animation. But none of that is really important and you get used to it after a few minutes of playing with it.I'd recommend it to those on a budget and those who want a reliable, no hassle, easy monitor.

Disclaimer: only had this for 4 hours. That said, we are loving this already. Battery life of video feed on monitor is around an hour as mentioned elsewhere, but that's fine. If you need more than that (popping next door or something) then use a power bank or take the charger. You can keep it plugged in during use anyway.Video is absolutely fine as is sound. The lullaby is actually nicer than that on a far more expensive cotmobile we bought. PTT works well,just remember to hold the button until the microphone icon displays before talking. Wondering now why others complained about such an inexpensive but effective item.

Good budget monitor. Too light for the plug so sometimes loses balance but otherwise a good little camera! Would recommend if you don’t want to spend lots of money.

We bought this item one year ago, the cable broke once, its a bit fragile but you can buy a new one separatly but in less than one year the battery is fully dead, it always needs to be plugged now unfort. On another note, format is great, compare to my friends's babyphones, this one is quite noisy.

Bought this when I was pregnant, only used it for 4 months and the receiving monitor has just decided to completely die.. no warning signs just went off completely and won't charge or switch back on. While it may be cheap it's not fit for purpose at all. With buying when I was pregnant it's now far to late to do anything about it. If you are considering buying this whilst pregnant I'd leave it as a last minute purchase.
