Really good grinder.
This is definitely an upgrade from my first angle grinder. I own their cheapest corded grinder. It does its job. This grinder, however, is wonderful. I didn't think a paddle switch would be as much of a game changer as it is. Its fairly lightweight and very powerful. Haven't come across a piece of metal yet that it doesn't breeze through, even when I use super cheap no-name cut-off wheels. Even if you aren't in the Metabo HPT line, this is a definite buy.

This is a really really Good grinder for the money, It has a ton of power and safety features, and the paddle switch. I like it way better than my new MakitaEDIT 4 months later and still IMPRESSED ❗️❗️❗️

Very pleased with this tool
I bought this grinder to cut up a couple of steel boat trailers and some car parts that were left half-buried and camouflaged on my property. I ended up discovering a lot more junk out there as well. The site was too far away to run cords to, so even my pneumatic angle grinders wouldn’t do the trick. So I figured I’d try the Metabo, since I have drills and impact wrenches that have served me well. The grinder made a couple hundred cuts through heavy gauge steel, bolts, nuts, whatever I needed. I already had a 5 Ah battery, and it lasted longer than I did. The grinder is powerful enough to quit with reasonable speed if you don’t place a sudden heavy load on it. If you do, it will stop and you must release the paddle and go again. So I am very pleased with it, and I use it regularly in the shop for metal work. I hope it has cut up its last boat trailer :)

Not to bad and not to great
I bought the metabo because i already had batteries for hitachi/metabo tools. Honestly it's okay. Will definently cut light gauge steel but if pressed to hard it will stall. I of course expected that from a light duty cordless grinder. It does make things easier to not have string out electrical cords. For the big stuff i still keep to a corded angle grinder or sawzall.

Great Purchase
This is one handy tool. I already had 2 batteries and charger from purchase of a Metabo impact Driver, so this tool only option fits the bill. It is lighter than my corded Milwaukee (which I love) and more maneuverable. It has a paddle switch which I love. The old Milwaukee doesn't. The controls are ambidextrous making this tool easy to use when you have to work with your off hand. I don't know how I by without it!

Why Didn’t I Buy This Sooner?
Really, why didn’t I get one of these years ago. I often need to cut large pipe or other metals out where there is no power available, and have grunted and strained to get things moved close enough to a power source to use my electric angle grinder. I truly didn’t think a battery powered grinder would have enough oomph to do the job I needed. Finally, with no choice, I bought this grinder which DOES work with my Hitachi slide batteries (as it should since they’re the same company). This thing has eaten through everything I’ve asked of it even more quickly than my electric angle grinder. I am mostly cutting 3-5” pipe, with 3/8 to 1/4” wall thickness. Have also used it to cut long swaths of 1/4” metal plate with no problem. I have been using a 6 A battery. This little grinder is fairly energy efficient, as I can usually get a job completed without changing batteries. Looking forward to many years together!
