Very Good illumination As Described

Almost daylight
This lamp is a very bright light and just what I needed! You can buy dimmer ones if that is what you want. But I have it on a pole by my outdoor shop. Now I feel more secure when I walk to the shop at night. I can see everywhere I step. We have lots of rattlesnakes and other critters here that I want to avoid, and the light is almost as bright as daylight for my 65 foot walk way. I didn't indicate longevity on the stars because I just bought it. I will fill that in later. But it's supposed to last a long time.

Doesn't like temperatures in the teens and below
Spring,summer and fall light worked excellent. Noticed this winter it's slow and not nearly as bright till it gets warned up.stay on after dawn now too

Very bright, got a good deal at Amazon warehouse, needs a converter for a standard bulb socket
Very bright, works well so far. Don’t know about overall longevity or energy efficiency. Be aware that his bulb has a 1.54 inch E 39/E40 screw in base and it will NOT fit a standard incandescent screw in bulb socket which is an E26/E27. I purchased the Jesled (4-Pack) E26/E27 to E39/E40 Adapter for Large Mogul Base Light Bulbs, JESLED Medium E26/E27 to Mogul E39/E40 Lamp Socket Converter for led corn cob bulbs from Amazon ($9.99/4 pack) and they worked great.Bear in mind that the adapter is about 2" long and that it raises the potential for bulb clearance issues if you have a low ceiling so add the bulb length and the adapter length and make sure you won't be cracking your head. Hope that helps!

Not 6000 lumens, maybe 2500.....
This is not even close to 6000 lumens. I replaced a 5000 lumens mercury bulb with this one and it feels like half of that.. very disapointed with the advertised qualities and low results.. i will return it. :(

Works great
Replaced a 250w Mercury vapor bulb with this to light up outside my polebarn. It survived the last year of midwest weather including a pretty agressive winter. Dropped my electricity cost by about $7/mo over the 250w and it doesnt hum when on. Would buy again.

Works great for lighting in the front of my shop. Will buy more as I get fixtures installed.

Replacement Bulb
This is a replacement bulb for another similar unit which failed after almost a year of service. I hope this one last a little longer. Light is bright and white.
