Excellent Winter Work Boot
I deliver Oil and Propane in Northern New England and I am trudging through the snow and rain and ice on a daily basis and these boots keep my feet fairly warm (definitely warm enough, I do wear Darn Tough wool socks) and dry. I have seen reviews of people complaining about the locking eyelets for the laces and also the back of the boots ripping apart. That has not been my experience. I think those people are not unlacing the boots enough when they remove them and they might explain the back ripping? Like I said I deliver fuel so I’m not digging ditches so I guess if you are digging ditches maybe they wouldn’t perform as well as they have for me but I find that they are rugged and can handle anything I’ve experienced and all while being comfortable for 12 hour days 6 days a week. The break in period was minimal and I didn’t need to treat them with anything for water proofing. The toe box is roomy but not to much and it’s a composite toe so you don’t need to worry about your toes getting crushed. If I had to pick something that I didn’t like it would be that my ice cleats barely fit but they do fit. I wouldn’t wear these in warmer months they are made for cold and snowy/ice conditions. I would also say you may want to go down a half size for a perfect fit. Hope this helps.

I don't normally leave reviews however...
These boots are the most comfortable, durable boots I've ever purchased. This is my second pair. I work in a freezer warehouse, 12 hours shifts and my first pair lasted 2 years. They have kept my feet warm and dry and forgetting that I'm walking/standing on frozen concrete floors.I highly recommend this boot for outdoor cold weather winter boots or like myself if you work in cold storage warehouse condions. They are a bit bulky but they are solid boots. Feet feel firmly, yet comfortably planted. They also look great, I have received several compliments on my boots people asking what they are and ect.. they are on the expensive side yes I admitt that but to me it's worth it and any other boot is just sub par. This is a PROPER pair of boots

Boot size info is confusing.
This is a good boot but the boot sizing information on the website was confusing. I looked at some other boots on Amazon and the information was better for other boots.

and they are comfortable to hike around in as well
I bought these for winter at our wind site. It kept my feet warm in -20F as long as I kept moving. I also took them hunting this winter, and they are comfortable to hike around in as well. For a smaller person, they're not as lightweight as everyone seems to profess. When you're climbing 300+ ft every day, every little ounce feels like a pound. My only gripe would be that the rubber on the toe has started peeling a little bit, but only the outside edge by the stitching. The black leather (?) has also started cracking around the toe area where it bends. I suppose if I oiled them occasionally it might prevent that, but it's not a huge issue. I just walked through 4" deep mud/water puddles without having any water intrusion - feet are perfectly dry and warm. They're a great boot, very roomy, and comfortable. Didn't really have any break-in period that I can remember. I've been wearing them for the last 6 months and they're holding up just fine.

Cozy and comfortable in 5 degrees
These are very comfortable and kept my feet warm in a 9 hour shift on a 5 degree weather.Update- started wearing January 22 2025, I have to say these boots are my most comfortable, cozy and lightest work boots I own that are field compliant, and keeps my toes and feet warm in 10+- degree Temps. Very impressed. May even wear into the spring and summer

TERRIBLE BOOTS! (Update)
These boots are horrible considering how much they cost! I haven't had these boots for 9 months (not even a full year!) and they are almost "JUNK"! The the soles are separating from the upper part of the bootand, the fabric part is shredding and the shoe laces popped after having them for about 3 months! They claimed it was a thousand grams of insolation but that's 100% "NOT TRUE"! I could buy about two or three pairs of really decent boots for the $200 they want for ONE pair of these Carhartt boots! My feet stayed cold in the winter and now the boots look like poop! There is a lot of GREAT boots out there that can do what these Carhartt boots can do, and more! Don't buy the "NAME" ; buy the quality. Learn from "MY" mistake! I'd say their Carhartt boots are worth about $60 TOPS; not $200!I'm in my 9th month with these boots and look at how they are now! Today (08/25/2020) I just received my order from Amazon. I ordered a pair of Sketchers work boots (those are the boots you see me wearing in the photo next to these UNRELIABLE carhartt CRAPS that I didn't even have for a complete year!). Once the fabric on the carhartt boots get the "tiniest" hole, IT'S ALL OVER; it continues to tear until you're walking around looking like a total bum on the street!
