The panama hat has the summer straw hat pinch in the crown. This hat has a fabric interior sweatband. You will have the look of summer and will get sun protection wearing this Stetson panama hat. Hand-woven in Ecuador, blocked and trimmed in Mexico. Made in Mexico.

It’s a nice panama hat.
It’s not the best or the worst but it’s a decent panama hat in this price range. Dimensionally this hat is nearly perfect. It has the best combination of brim size, peak height pinch shape. Etc. it just looks good.It has the correct Ecuador stamp inside the crown. It’s worth noting that all true Panama hats are made in Ecuador. Apparently these hats are made in Ecuador, but finished in Mexico. That’s OK too. The weave and stitching is decent, but not the highest quality. All in all, it’s a nice quality panama hat that looks sharp.

Great Hat
Love this hat. Seems hard to find a Panama that doesn't have a down-turned brim. I like this one a lot. Well made and half the cost of my similar hats.

Really Nice Hat For The Money--Stamped Made In Ecuador
This is my first 'real' straw hat so I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. I have a paper straw hat from Pineapple & Star and, obviously, this is a whole different experience. The weave seems good, I don't see any gaps or voids in the pattern, and the crown and brim are pretty stiff. I guess this is a problem for some but I find it keeps its shape better than the floppier paper straw. The sizing is just about right. I wear a 7 1/8 hat and the medium is supposed to go up to 7 1/8. I feel it could be just that little bit tighter but it fits snugly enough that it does not slip when I shake my head side to side. I think the color is perfect and exactly what I wanted from a "natural" straw hat.It arrived quickly in a box that was perfectly sized for the hat but it does not come with a storage box. The brim was flipped up for shipping but the front snapped right into place. It seemed a little dry when it arrived so I took a nice hot shower with the hat sitting on the crown in the bathroom and now it feels more supple and doesn't creak when I flex the brim.Last note: the ad says Made in Mexico and it even has the Made in Mexico sticker, however inside the top of the crown it is stamped "Panama Hat, Made In Ecuador". This leads me to believe it is is actually woven in Ecuador but then shipped to Mexico to have the sweat band, label, and grosgrain ribbon added before being sent on to US distributors and retailers. If it were $20 cheaper, this would be a 5-star hat in my opinion.

Nice panam hat for the price !
One of my new favorite Panama hats.Well made, it says made in Mexico but the actual straw weave is made in Ecuador. So a genuine Panama. Great price for a classy hat.

Shape
The shape was not in a condition to be reshaped as per the photo or as a stylish Fedora.

It's a Stetson, duh!
I've got a receding/bald hairline and was looking for something besides a baseball cap to cover it. Being a square head (Norwegian decent) it's fairly difficult for me to find a comfortable fit when it comes to head gear. This hat slid onto my dome like a form fit feather! It's comfortable as all get out, and there is no end to the complements I've received wearing this! All and all, I love this hat.

Brim not adjustable for a dipped front.
This isn't my first Panama. I thought I was upgrading to buy this one. I've always found it easy dip the front of the brim on straw hats like this, but not on this one. I even pulled out a clothes steamer to help loosen it up for the bend, but it simply won't stay down. It's not wearable in the style I, and I think most others, prefer. Until someone can provide me with a tried and true method, I'm knocking stars off of this one.

Worst fitting hat
It was 1st hat ever that wasn’t shaped to fit one’s head. I could place a finger on each side of the hat above my ears and scratch my head. Plus it was hard as a rock. Couldn’t shape it
