Monoprice RJ11 Toolless 180-Degree Keystone Jack - For 22-26AWG Solid Wire, White

I knew by the other reviews that this was a wide keystone jack. I did install it next to a network keystone jack in a wall box and they both fit fine. I would not have been able to fit two of these side by side but it did fit with my Cat6 jack.

Use this to run 4 wire digital connection for my Cambridge Sound works P1000 sub. Made for a very clean install and worked perfectly.

It worked first try. I researched how to hook up a phone via the internet, figured out the color system, and now have a nice media outlet.

Your on your own with this one as I could find no documentation on this product. You must first separate the clear wire holder from the tan mating peice. This is more difficult than it should be. Once apart, you must place the unstripped wires in the clear wire holder, in the correct order of course, (which you must yourself determine). The tan part has tiny v shaped metal taps that will cut through the wire sheathing when you mate the clear peice with the tan. I first tried using a punch down tool to punch the wires into the v notches, which broke the very delicate v notches. Ordered and installed a 2nd one, this time the way I described and it works great. The keystone part of the design works like all keystones. On the good side, this unit is made for a tooless install, so if you only have one phone jack to do and don't want to buy a special tool, this one's a good way to go. Just take your time, and be gentle.

The wiring diagram is wrong on the ones I got. Should be green/white , blue, blue/white, green.This batch got screwed up according to monoprice. Works great if wired correctly

First, let me say that I take responsibility for not more thoroughly investigating this product before deciding to buy it.Based on the very limited information contained in the description, I assumed that it would be an unspecified package quantity, mostly because they indicate the shipping weight to be 1 pound and a single RJ-11 jack weighs less than an ounce. What I received was a single RJ-11 jack in a tiny ziplock bag with a "Monoprice" label on it. My advice to you: Save yourself the $3.40 and order the item from Monoprice, where it costs $0.78. It can also be had far cheaper in volume quantities.
