Toca TSBST Bongo Drum Stand

Really didn't know what to expect and hoped for the best. My bongos are a heavy quality set. This stand is perfect! The pieces are quality and very sturdy. Only three pieces and easy to assemble. Very impressed.... Seriously! Would recommend this item.

More than I wanted to spend but seems very sturdy and will probably last for awhile. Nice design, easy to put together.

I found it very sturdy, was able to raise it to waist level while sitting and felt very comfortable.One draw back is if you use a ratchet or a socket wrench to tune your bongos, one of the tuning lugs interferes with the butterfly which adjusts the tilt angle. So you need to tune it before you mount it and once mounted re tune the other three lugs or use a regular wrench for the one lug. See picture. Another very important thing to keep in mind before you order it. I have an old pair of LP bongos. The center block is 1 and 3/4" wide and it just about fits it . The LP stand is too big for it, so if the center block in you bongos is wider than that, this is not the stand for you. You need to go with the LP model which has the strap version. Other than that it's good.

This was my first purchase of percussion related products( beyond the needs of my drum kit) and I would have to say it met and exceeded my expectations. The tonal quality is somewhat muted, which I like , and it gets some interesting sounds as well when hitting it at various points on the head. The skins are rugged enough that you can play with sticks as well as the traditional hand method. I think the hardware and stand supporting are first rate also. I would purchase any Toca brand product again.

This stand is very fully adjustable, sturdy and practical. And one of its best features is the front, back and bottom padded support brackets that hold firmly and offer good care to the instrument. Highly recommended!

I just received this stand, and have not yet played it.It appears a very sturdy and solid mount, and exactly the right height for a seated player. I have another stand which works well standing, but even with a section cut down, I still needed a better choice for playing while seated. I think this will do very well.So why the down-rate by me? sounds like a 5 star, so far, and it would be.My objection is that, unlike my other (taller) stand, the part of this one that actually clamps the stand is not an integral, attached piece. It is not physically attached to the stand, but instead fits over a long pin. Well, perhaps I could leave it attached to my drum? No, it only forms a clamp when slid onto that pin.Now, this seems quite secure. When properly fastened, I have no doubt that it will hold the drum quite well, and be very solid.My complaint is that this is another part to keep up with, and a relatively small part at that (about 4x4x1 inches). If the durm us mounted, and left that way -perhaps in studio- it would be fine. But in the proliferation of parts and connectors, cables, tuners, new guitar strings, mics, mic stand heads, etc, this mounting method is a recipe for loosing something vital, which would make my instrument unplayable just before an event, or at best, making worthless a perfectly good piece of equipment, at a loss of about $100.Bad design -particularly since there are other ways to do it (as my tall stand demonstrates)
