Just wow!
So I work at Chick-fil-A and am a bit of a watch collector. I wanted a pretty decent Swiss watch that I could wear to work doing anything from cash register to working the fryers without having to worry about it getting beat up or ruined. I previously wore my Tag Heuer but decided I should probably leave that at home after I had to have an issue with the crown fixed. That's where this watch comes in. This watch has been great at all tasks and still looks great. I sometimes wear the bumper depending on what I am doing because some of the tasks could really scratch up the watch (and have previously scratched up my Tag). The watch is a bit on the heavy side but feels like it's a quality sort of heavy like you would typically get from a dive watch. I have also worn the watch at the gym to workout, swim, and in the steam room and sauna. Some of these activities make my Invicta automatic dive watch fog up temporarily on the inside, but the INOX has not fogged up on the inside at all. Comparing this to my other watches, it is awesome.Pros:It is Swiss, has a sapphire crystal, and will be much more accurate than an automatic.Very Robust and looks great. It is like a Swiss version of the G-Shock but more elegant and not digital. The Rubber watch strap is wavy on the inside against the skin to allow for sweat to evaporate.Having the date at 4:30 looks weird but is actually pretty nice when wearing the watch. I did not expect this.Middle: The 24 hour markets inside the watch are practically useless. I have good vision at 24 years old and have trouble reading them. The rubber bumper it comes with also has 14, 16, 20, and 22 hour markers so that is a bonus if needed.Cons: The lume is not the brightest unless exposed to extremely bright light. Would like to have seen an illuminated second hand. That's just my opinion though. Your thoughts may be different.Rubber watch strap decently comfortable, but very far from the worst I have had!!! It seems to be getting more comfortable as I wear it so I may just need to break it in more.To sum it up, the INOX is a wonderful watch that I would have no hesitations recommending to anyone. If you are looking for a first good quality Swiss watch, you can't go wrong with this. If you have nicer watches and want something that is still nice but is more of a beater watch than an Omega would be, this would be great for you. There is a metal bracelet for the INOX on Victorinox's website I am considering getting if a metal bracelet is more your thing. It's very hard to go wrong with this watch so enjoy it if you get one. I know you will!

Nearly Perfect...
I'm a huge watch junkie. I own most brands from $30 thru $10K. I wanted to add another "rugged work watch" to the list and after reading a lot about the new INOX I made my choice. For the price this watch is very nicely finished. All brushed and polished edges are done so very well. The hands look great and although the indices are stamped out of the dial (so they'll never fall off or become loose) they are made to look like they are applied separately and the look really works. The crown is protected very well and having a fixed bezel means you can beat the crud out of it without worrying about the bezel breaking (I've broken numerous rotating bezels, including Chase-Durer and Omega). The watch is very comfortable and the Swiss made rubber strap is stiff but fits really well. The overall size of the watch is perfect... it's sizable without being obnoxiously large like a lot of watches nowadays. The Swiss Ronda quartz movement has only gained a few seconds per month and is a tried and true workhorse. Another nice touch is the sapphire crystal, when most other watches in this price range have some sort of mineral glass. The crystal is also set just a hair lower than the bezel so knocks against the front of the watch have a lesser chance of hitting it.My only gripe would be how the rubber strap is attached. I lost a Rolex in the ocean once because it snagged on something on the boat and the springbars holding the band on broke and the watch fell into the water (yeah that sucked). The INOX uses regular springbars like most other watches and I just don't know how the INOX can be touted as a nearly indestructible watch when it can somewhat easily be popped off the wrist. I would've liked to see screws like the older Panerais, but I guess at this price point you only get springbars. It's a minor complaint because rarely does a watch get knocked off your wrist...but that added security is always nice.Overall I am very pleased with this watch and it's a pleasure to wear. I have many Victorinox tools but this is my first watch of theirs, and it's a keeper.

very satified
ok just received this beauty and it's love at first sight. the $500+ retail was a little aggressive for me due to the quartz movement. not to say that the swiss movement isn't of outstanding quality. but at that price point i'm more inclined to select an automatic movement.(i.e. tissot prs516). at $299 and free one day delivery, done! ok back to the time piece it receives 5 stars on cool factor alone and bound to receive many compliments. i think it can go either casual or dress. it simply says, "i'm tough as nails and i look good."glad to add it to the collection. i'm thankful victorinox took a risk. the case is of extreme high quality. the dial loaded with detail. love the recessed indices. the bezel in my opinion, flawless. wasn't sure if i would like the band but it compliments the watch and is comfortable.and then there is the AR sapphire crystal @ $299, wow!and did i mention a screw down crown with crown guard. i've read reviews criticizing the lume. not sure how much lume one needs but i found it to be more than sufficient for me. very detailed in the dark including the emblem. by the way don't let the 21mm lug width discourage you. though not a popular size, at least in the usa, i was able to find several bands and straps on amazon. awesome job victorinox, awesome price amazon.
