This was great for my kenyan principal!

I love the illustrations and the fact that it is about kenya. Ugali and sukuma is a kenyan staple food. I'm using the book to teach my toddler about home and I will be getting the other books by this author.

What a lovely slice of Kenyan life. My daughter loves this book and calls out Akiki, Akiki! when she wants to read it (which is every night.) It is wonderfully illustrated and teaches children about responsibility in addition to yummy meals.

Great way for my husband to teach about his Kenyan culture to our kids!

I really enjoyed this book because it teaches a bit about the Kenyan culture and is colorful and engaging. I recommend it!

Higly recommend this book by Kwame Nyong'o as well as his Mandazi book.

A must read! My children enjoyed reading this book over and over and louder and louder!.Thank God for my small sukuma wiki garden, we enjoy eating ugali and sukuma.

My kid enjoyed the book even though she doesn't like ugali.
