As small as it is on the picture
I gave it 5 stars because it is a perfectly good physio ball (at least it seems so after about 3wks in a home w/ 3 busy young boys). However, I had hoped it would make a good desk chair for my 6yo, and it is just too small for that. I took a chance because I was uncertain how 12" would seem when actually in use. I don't think I'll be able to find something smaller than the adult small but bigger than this one.

Great therapy tool.
This is a great size for therapy with 3 year olds. I will use it as a chair if I have therapy during snack or circle time to work on core strength. I've used it have kids practice wheelbarrow walking in a comforting manner. I've even used it for catching and throwing and kicking. The size is perfect for both of those as it is bigger than most balls and they can more easily get their arms around it. I especially like that because it is a gymnic ball I know if it happens to puncture while a kid is sitting on it, that it won't burst, but will have a slow leak unlike many of the off the shelf yoga balls you'd get at Walmart or Target.

12" is too small for a 5 year old to sit on at a table
Way smaller than I thought it would be. Ordered it based on the ages it would fit, but 12" just is too small, even too low for a toddler table from Ikea. I do know what 12" is--it's not that. It's just that sitting at 12" is too low. My child just plays with the ball and sits on it just to goof off on it, not actually to use at her table as I had envisioned. But it is super sturdy. It's a great little ball--very thick material.

Excellent value for development of core & attention
This is perfect fit for a little person to sit for therapy or just use at a small table. Balance works important core muscles while keeping it fun & easy. My preschooler does "wheelbarrow" and other exercise for fun, helping her gain stability and strength. My kindergartener uses it to help him sit "still" for quiet work at a table or handwriting. Best $15 I've spent on a kids' therapy!

Highly recommended
I bought two of these, one a bit larger. I had knee replacement and use these for PT. The bigger one I used initially, and then went to this one when I gained more range of motion. WAY cheaper than the 500 a month it was going to cost for PT at the local clinic. Also bought a yoga strap for stretching the leg. This ball very sturdy and highly recommended!

Does NOT arrive inflated.
I returned this, as I do not feel that I should have to get a pump to inflate it. I went to Target, found a ball, fully inflated, for half the price. I should have done that to begin with.

Pressure Loss Nightmare
Much bigger than the 12" advertised. Second, unless you are lightning fast, don't count on getting this thing inflated to any significant pressure. One has to change out the fill valve with the ball plug to get it operational. Depending on the pressure at change out, you'll experience significant pressure loss during the transition. Good luck with this one.

Son love it, so do I..no banned chemicals in the ball.
Got this so my son 26mth old son can do yoga with me. He plays with it all day long, not just during yoga time. No banned chemicals, made in Italy, and just the right size for toddlers. Says it will hold up to 600lbs, I know it holds 220(my husband). Teaches balance, coord, and strengthens core muscles. I even use ot for leg and arm work.
