Great little reader and well illistrated
My kids love this one. Wholesome and interesting. The perfect simple reader. It is good for reading to them as well as for them to try to read. Simple review of local businesses, public agencies, and affirmation of civic pride, all in that same poetic innocent voice that makes the best critterBooks special and with the same intriguing fun illustrations.

Help your little one build their vocabulary by reading this early and reading this often
This is My Town: Little Critters Town provides a wonderfully fun look at multiple spots throughout town and introduces not just words, but concepts. There is a post office, school, etc and the information is very age appropriate. The illustrations are fun and inviting and the story is easy to follow. It is great to allow early readers to gain confidence and build their vocabulary. On a personal note, I've seen it first hand as one of my little ones gained valuable reading skills with this book introduced long before an expectation of ability to read it existed all the way through having him read it to a younger sibling. It is beyond possible for me to recommend this book any more. It is one of only a dozen books on my list of "should be in every library of littles everywhere" and other titles include Where the Sidewalk Ends and classics such as Caps For Sale. If you have kids, are pregnant and want something to read to them while you wait for them to join you in this life, or need a gift for a loved one, this is one to grab.

Another great Little Critter early reader.
The Little Critter books are favorites here in our house. This particular title is one of the I Can Read ones, meaning the text is very basic and uncomplicated and intended for early readers. We typically prefer the other kinds of LC books that have more detailed stories and interesting vocabulary (Little Critter: Just a Little Music, The Lost Dinosaur Bone (Little Critter), for example), but this one is still a favorite. Lots of the usual fun illustrations. Highly recommended for 2 and 3 year olds, or older kids who are learning to read.

You can't go wrong with Little Critter!
I read these to my two year old grandchild. The stories are simple and and age appropriate to a young child. They often deal with childhood issues (good and bad). The art work is great and busy, busy, busy, just like a two/three year old!We enjoy hunting for frogs, grasshoppers and friendly spiders. We check out the expression on the other crittersin the pictures and discuss their feelings. The whole series is a gift that keeps on giving.

Great series of books
I have been buying this series of books for our 5 year old for for the past few years. Everyone has been a hit that she would first want us to read to her over and over again, and now she reads them over and over herself.

Love Love Love it!
I've always been a fan of the little critters books, and my four year old loves loves loves them as well. He has quite the collection of them and he can't seem to get enough of them either. He doesn't know how to read but he can definitely tell you what each page is about as if he's reading it. We love this book, it's very cute and fun.
