Holbain Artists' Gouache 12color set G711 15ml (No.5)

I'm a professional illustrator, although I'm not an expert in Gouache, I love water based medium, but this is the first time I actually tried a Gouache paint that has such an strong and beautifu pigmentation, which it makes it not only useful for transparent layering but also for opaque layering, as this brand doesn't suffer the color fading I have been experiencing with other brands. Actually, as it's Gouache, if you use it too liquid, colors are going to fade when it's dry, but, a lot less than other brands. I don't recommendo using Gouache too liquid, unless you're doing some really subtle transparent layering. the flow it's beautiful, the sheerness is amazing, you don't need a lot of paint to create a modest size/detailed illustration, so I found15ml to be enough paint to start creating some really cool illustrations. All in all, I didn't find any cons, I'm happy, and I'm eager to use it a lot!

These are definitely better quality than what I started out using. I like that they seems to rehydrate much better and creamier. Lesser quality tend to become granular.

Good set for mixing a decent amount of colors. Dries flat and layers nicely.

I am taking a Gouache class, and these were the recommended paints to use. Very nice selection of colors for many mixing opportunities. I only gave 4 tars because I wish there were 2 tubes of white included, since this is the color you use the most when mixing different colors.

I have recently started using gouache and was delighted to find this set at such a great price. Colors are beautiful and I was also happy to find that there is no overlap with the colors in the Holbein primary color mixing set which I already own. The paints mix easily and are lovely to work with.

I purchased this set as my first professional gouache paint I have enjoyed using it. The pigmentation is extremely pigmented. It takes a very little when mixing into colors a Holbein products as a whole have knocked it out of the park for most of the things that I have use of theirs. This set is no exception.

The gouache was very good and creamy would recommend

I've only ever used watercolor before this, but I have wanted to try gouache for a long time, so I decided to splurge on some nice paints for my birthday. I'm definitely not an expert, but I love how pigmented the colors are, while still being very blendable and sheer when mixed with water. While there are definitely a lot of cheaper options out there, I personally think that these were worth it because they are just so beautiful and easy to work with.
