No. I assumed the same thing. No screws or hardware, only the bracket. VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

Either size screw will work. Use screws which are of a length and size appropriate to the type of wood you are using, and to the table you are building.

Q: Will this work for attaching legs to a 6 foot kitchen takbe?

This worked for a five foot table, I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work for a six foot table.

Q: do you need a flat edge on the table leg for the hanger bolt

No the center bolt needs to be centered to the brace but does not have to be a flat edge
