Q: Does it wet or dampen the surface you place it on? I want to place it on a wooden table. Thank you.

It doesn't dampen my wooden bedside table. HOWEVER... that table doesn't have a nice finish on it, but I brought it out to my antique LR table which does have a nice, shiny, wooden finish and it left a permanent ring so am wondering if I didn't dry it completely after filling it and the moisture dripped down.

Q: Is there gurgling water noise like some other units I tried.

It gurgles since the first time I use it. I have and had many other diffusers and this one is the loudest. Considering to return it.

Q: Does this turn off automatically in the ON mode when water is low?

Yes, it turns off when the water runs out in the "on" mode. It's always off in the morning and when I open it to refill it there is only a drop of water at the bottom.

Q: How does the mist disperse? What size room does it cover?

The mist only comes out of the infuser to about a foot. I have mine in my kitchen and I can smell the oils in my living room. It all depends on the size of your place. Bigger place would need more then one. Another good feature is it has a timer so it doesn't run til it goes dry..
