All in all, I'm satisfied
Once installed and wired it worked and is working flawlessly, relatively quiet operation, only issue is it didn't come with Z brackets which I had to fabricate to mount it on the roof of my shed, not a big deal but delayed operation by a couple of days, all in all I'm satisfied

Better than expected
I've only had this fan for a couple of days but so far this thing works great! Even with overcast the fan spins, not fast, but spins. Under full sun the power is impressive - runs fast! The fan is well built, high quality housing, blades are very thin aluminum but no need for heavier. The solar panels are very well made and solid. Challenge is building support structures for panel and fan, but that's your problem. Overall highly recommend this.

Update: They sent another free, much better
The media could not be loaded. Update: After I left the bad review, I got a refund. But later, seller did offer me a replacement to test out. I told them I was already getting a refund, but they still wanted me to give the fan a second chance and allowed me to test it free, with no promise I would change my review, so I did. This one arrived in much better shape, fan was properly attached and solar panel not shattered (still could be better cushioned IMO). I love the two panel hinge design enough that I wasn't bothered by the lack of panel mounting hardware; it allowed me to put it on the gable/pitched roof of my greenhouse, whereas other solar panels woupd have to be anchored in place to avoid sliding. I think it's heavy enough now it will stay in place, but in preparation for storm winds, I may add some super strong suction cup hooks later to anchor it (since it is sitting on polycarbonate panels now).Mostly, I'm enjoying how well it runs. There is no on-off switch, so it just turns on in sun. When not in full sun, the breeze is not very strong, honestly, but overall, it's a solid product. I mostly gave it 4 stars for the customer service alone. They definitely will make things ok if you have an issue with the product.Original review:Well, you can see what went wrong from my video. Not only did the glass of one solar panel break into a thousand pieces (thankfully it is that shatterproof kind that isn't dangerous), the fan rotor itself isn't even attached lol. I don't know what the deal is with that. If it was just about the solar panel breaking, I could understand that happened in shipping, but the fan not even being screwed into its frame makes me think there are some serious quality control issues with this product? I looked through the instruction manual and nothing is mentioned about having to do that yourself… And I actually have five smaller solar fans already, so I knew that that's not something that is commonly done by the customer. There are not extra spruce included and it doesn't appear to be easy to do from the inside of the fan, which makes me think that someone just shipped it out without even noticing that the fan was not attached to the frame?? Anyway, this just arrived today so I'm still within the return window, it's just a pain. I'm so glad to be a prime member and having easy returns, but of course I would rather not have to do something like that. This fan is huge, plus the solar panels are double and large, so it is very heavy for a fan and you would think they would protect something that is glass and shipped with a heavy large metal object sitting on top of it, but the panel was just between two flat sheets of thin foam. As I mentioned, I bought several solar fans from other companies and in each one of those cases, the solar panels were seated inside custom fitted foam so that they were stable and couldn't shift. This one looks like it was just place between two foam pieces, and being as heavy and delicate as it is, of course it broke.

Moves Air!
The media could not be loaded. Simple install. Can't see it from the ground outside and is almost silent if you are at ground level. Very impressive performance so far (moves a lot of air and functions when partly cloudy). Only a few days of operation so far, but it makes a massive difference in barn inside temperature and humidity. If these are durable and last...time will tell.

4 years still running
The media could not be loaded. I got this fan 4 years ago for my garage, and its still running great. my garage used to get hotter inside then out, this fan easily keeps it cool. The fan I have is the 25w with panel. Install is easy, if you can get a hand to hold a ladder its nice. its very quite I generally forget I have it.Update I ordered another Fan kit, the one with the 100 w Panel, its much larger, but it doesn't come with any mounting hardware. The get 4 stars because I'll have to figure that part out nowUpdate 8/30/2020 got the new 100w panel and fan kit installed it so so much more powerful then my old fan. I added a video. Depending on your house and were this is mounted you can hear it in the house, this is in my garage pulling air from my Attic, i have a second fan pulling air from garage.

Attic fan
This fan did not last long. I installed it in my attic and had to remove it due shortly after due to loud scraping noise.

THE FAN AND PANELS WORK PERFECTLY FINE--SOMETIMES THE INSTALLERS DON'T
I'll make this simple and brief.1. This works right out of the box exactly like it's supposed to. In less than 30 seconds the fan was out of the box plugged into the solar panels spinning away in the afternoon sun. I installed it the following evening on a 40' shipping container. The next day it wasn't working, but ONLY because I had installed it in the dark and reverses the pin/power connector. Once I flipped the connector, it fired up and worked like a champ.2. It doesn't have instructions because it doesn't need them. Because there are limitless mounting applications, the manufacturer couldn't possibly anticipate all of them. It contains mounting hardware that you can pick and choose from or ignore altogether.3. A bunch of reviewers say the fan runs/blows the wrong direction. It's just simply not true. I get the impression that some of these reviews are from folks who still need to use safety scissors when cutting their colored construction paper projects. If you want the air to blow OUT, install the fan with the blade facing away from you. If you wan it to suck air IN, then mount with the blades facing you. It's just that easy.
