Priceless for long trips
I got this throttle lock because of what it feels like a more secure functionality if compared to the other throttle locks I've researched. It has two ways to disengage that doesn't require twisting or doing anything with the throttle - pressing a "button" and engaging the front brake. It works well and was easy to install on my z900. It doesn't always stay at the desired speed, but the throttle can be adjusted with a little bit of moving up or down. That doesn't bother me, as I don't usually keep it engaged for very long time - just enough to let my arm and shoulder rest because I have recurring tendonitis. I had a little trouble after a month of using it. Two screws at the bottom got loose. The customer support was easy to reach and helpful. I've put them on loctite now and it's working well again. I think it would be a good idea to add the loctite to all the screws before assembling it on the bike.

Worth every penny!
I have to admit I was highly skeptical, but took the plunge. My buddy uses one of those palm rest throttle assist things, I used a similar one and nearly killed myself. Been looking for the right product to come along and I found it. The installation on my Vulcan S was not as easy as the models they show in the videos, but after removing user error from the process, the installation went rather quickly. Took it out for a test spin on the longer roads around my neighbor hood and was impressed that it was able to maintain my speed with a 2-3mph margin. The brake action to disengage the throttle lock is fantastic. Works like a charm. I find the lock is easily engaged and the thumb lever to disengage is logically and naturally placed. I knew exactly where to put my thumb without even a thought. I don’t normally write reviews, but this product is worth writing for.

It works.
This was installed on a '17 Kawasaki Versys 1000. The install wasn't difficult, the worse part was removing the hand guards. The install took about 30 minutes, If you have help it would be much easier. It goes without saying, this is not an electronic cruise control, as long as you go into the purchase with a reasonable performance expectation I think most will be satisfied. The push button is easy enough the engage and disengage, and if properly set the front brake lever disengages the throttle lock seamlessly. All in all the product quality and performance is very good. The only reason I'm giving this addon 4 instead of 5 stars is because it doesn't come in anodized colors. On a pretty much all black bike, the silver looks out of place.

customer service
I ordered the 7CP05 BrakeAway Motorcycle Cruise Control for my Kawasaki Z900RS because the Z900 was listed in models using the 7CP05. When it didn't fit, messaged BrakeAway and they replied oh, you need the 7CP02, send us the 7CP05 and we'll send you a 7CP02. I did, and they did. I got the new one in lees than a week. THAT'S WHAT I CALL SERVICE!

Slightly more expensive but well worth the price
This is a fantastic throttle lock and is arguably the best on the market. I tried the Kaoko and Atlas throttle locks before this but this is hands down the best. Installation can be a bit tricky and the instructions that it comes with can take a little while to decipher. While other throttle locks may be installed quicker and easier, this wins in build quality, looks, and functionality. Being able to disengage the throttle lock by pulling in the brake lever is a game changer that makes this design so great. If you are on the fence I recommend giving this a shot. Aside from the tricky install I am completely satisfied with my purchase. I’d also recommend watching a YouTube video of the installation. That will help a great deal as well.

Does Not Fit the Honda ST1300 as described.. ...
Does Not Fit the Honda ST1300 as described ... brought this into the Dealership to install since it looked more complex than expected. After a little over 2 hours, they said, no can do ... since I purchased some time ago and had to wait to bring into Dealership, now out $190, not to mention the $300 paid to the Dealership for their Tech hours trying to make this work/fit.

Expensive but worth it.
Got it for my Honda ST 1300. The NEP won't work and the others weren't a good fit because of the odd location of the throttle cables. Looked at several others but didn't really like the set up. Ordered the Breakaway and proceeded to put it together. It's not difficult but there are important details to pay attention to so you don't want to rush the install. What separates this one from the others is the precision design and operation. It's simple yet well designed. Adjusting it is a little detailed so take your time. The final setup is not hard. it clicks on and off nicely and the brake lever release is really cool. Overall it feels solid, works well but you want to be careful installing and setting it up. The little guide that works on the throttle grip is a great idea. It's the best one I've used yet. Bottom line: it's worth it. Expensive but it's well made.
