Definitely similar to the salon product but definitely can sense the formaldehyde in the keratin. Anytime I have had it done and now use, I have an allergic reaction so a room with lots of ventilation and a powerful fan should help. Please wear a mask and gloves. It was easier to have someone else to do it because I had start and stop several times. I could sense the chemical throughout the entire time so be careful and blow dry your hair after applying the keratin to the back. For some reason having my hair in my face made me react more. I had my keratin done about 4 month ago and noticed my roots needed to be redone. African American with loose curly hair . It’s definitely a process but worth it. Next time I am in New York I might have it done there instead lol but while living in Texas this might have to do. Hopefully I’ll get better with time. 🙏🏾 this is my only alternative to a perm so I’ll take it.

This product make my hair so smooth

I followed the directions exactly and I did not get the same results that I used to get in the salon at hair bar nyc. I don’t know what I could have done differently. The only things I can think of are: I used a suave clarifying shampoo instead of the hair bar nyc clarifying shampoo and I used the flat iron on 380 degrees instead of 450 (because I have dyed hair). My hair came out with a loose wave (originally curly) but it still was frizzy and was not sleek straight like how it used to get. I attached an after picture after my first wash after 5 days. (didn’t even use shampoo just rinsed my hair)

I have done keratin since it came in this country from Brazil 29 years ago. So I know EXACTLY how to apply it and how my hair should be when the product is truly keratinThis product is NOT. Chunks of my hair fell out my hair felt disgusting and I am so upset. For a woman not to have her hair exactly as she likes is devastating.This is the worst product. I have used reliable Brazilian keratin products with beautiful results. Why did I think this product would be as good? Never did I ever cow the to have the results I have after using this!!
