Works so much better than my "shaky" range finder.
I'm a 69 yr. old avid golfer.Wanted to get more accuracy with the distances I had to hit, so I spent $349 on a laser range finder a couple years ago. This thing had the slope reader, everything! But what they don't tell you when you buy one....you better have a pretty steady hand when using it, or at least be able to brace yourself against something when you use it! Otherwise the "cross-hairs" bounce around like a jack rabbit! Was more frustrating than anything else. Great brand name - lousy performance! So I bought the Swami 6000 by IZZO. Imagine that - technology that does what it says it will, for UNDER $100.00! Easy to use, with 40,000 courses in their library, and it's magnetic so it sits right on the frame of my golf cart. When I get to my ball it tells me the distance to the green front - middle - and back! That's all I wanted it to do. Sure I could keep my score on it, and I could ever find out the "hazards" on each hole, but I'm playing courses I've played dozens of times before, all I need is "how far to get home?"Keep it up IZZO!!

Does the job. Easy to read. Magnet is STRONG
I bought this as a backup for other product. I like the large size text. The battery is only good for 1- 2 rounds. I carry an external battery USB charger. Will shut down if no manual input received after two or three holes.thus, I look at coming hole etc. before I get there.Instructions are a little weak. Even the online ones. Go to uTube>

Great value
Very quick to acquire GPS signal. Consistently matches the distances of a Garmin watch. The size of the characters on the and brightness of the display makes it easy to read in varied, angles, and lighting. The integral magnet holds it securely in place on the golf cart even when crossing rough terrain. Battery life appears to be excellent - while used for just one round, on that first round there was more than 70% charge remaining when finished. Highly recommend.

fROZE UP COMPLETELY AFTER A Y EAR
2ND UPDATE - COMPLETELY FROZE UP AFTER TWO HOLES! ACTUALLY NOT EVEN HALFWAY THROUGH THE SECOND. NO WAY TO RESET OR EVEN TURN OFF! JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE BATTERY DIES. i REALLY HOPED THIS WOULDN'T BE ANOTHER FLAWED PRODUCT BUT I WAS WRONG. MY LAST REVIEW SAID I WAS GOING TO SELL ON EBAY - NOW IT'S COMPLETELY JUNK! NOTE THE REVIEWS, THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM! IF YOU GO TO THE IZZO SITE NOTE THAT ALL THE REVIEWS ARE CHERRY-PICKED, NOTHING LESS THAN A FOUR-STAR. IZZO WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!(Initial review when new) Purchased this to replace my Golf Buddy. The good news is that it pulls up the correct course quickly and it's very accurate. There are two problems - one is that if you want to keep score you need to stay on the green of the hole you just played to enter that information. If you leave the green and approach the next tee box before you record your score it switches to the next hole and there is no way to go back. That's a real problem if you're being rushed or are in the habit of recording your score while waiting to hit on the next tee. I have never been able to complete a round without having to abandon the scoring feature and other players get really peeved if you stand there fiddling with your rangefinder. The other problem is that you can set the device to automatically turn off after about half an hour or stay on. Even though we're moving constantly and I'm checking distances or recording scores it seems to turn off after a couple of hours after setting the device to stay on.UPDATE #1: I changed this to a one-star rating because 1) the third time I used it I couldn't pull up the course I was on (major course in Denver suburb!). I updated the firmware at Izzo suggestion 2) Not being able to enter score once you leave green is a killer. Izzo response was "once you're 40+ yards down fairway you should be able to switch back and enter score"! Are you kidding? I'm focused on my next shot at that point! and 3) It keeps turning off after about six or seven holes. Gonna sell on Ebay.

Great performance and value.
This is a replacement for my much more expensive Garmin that died. I love the ease of use. So far every course I’ve played has popped right up. The large font size is great, much easier to read than my Garmin. I’ve been comparing the distances shown to the readings from playing partners devices, and it is very consistent. Really good value for the money. I did buy the suggested case to hold it and am glad I did.

great but also not great.
it has great interface with accurate distance readings. extremely easy to use. magnet is strong. battery lasted very well through long rounds. unfortunately the battery did not last long term, purchased about a year ago after i lost my phantom and decided to try this. as of today, i will plug it in and it says 100% charged but when its actually on it the charge shows probably 40%. died on the 8th hole after having it charging for the night and trying to give it one last go. definitely a great golf gps but quality control issues with the battery make it unreliable and too risky to buy in my opinion.
