I used this for a hammock swing, works very well, but the functional angle is probably 30degress or so.My kids like to get the swing as close to horizontal as possible, so this will last a few years but ultimately fail from abuse.five stars.

I used these to hang swings for my kids in our basement. Our joists ran perpendicular to the way I wanted the swings to swing, so the ball bearing was the perfect compromise. These have been great and the install was easy.

Hardware is strong! Breaking-strength = 1200lbs. I always "over-rig" my set-ups for circus equipment. AND use safety riggs ontop of any hardware/eyebolt/etc.I love this unit because it swivels really smoothly. The profile (all things considered) is very "short"/compact. I love that!Solid unit. I used this to hang a sensory swing for my kids. I chose to cut out the drywall and install it directly into the wood frame. My daughter weighs 95 lbs (13 yrs) and she still uses it. She swings as high as she can, feet touching the ceiling in our kitchen. Never had any issues. There was a squeaking noise between the metal parts rubbing when in use. I fixed this by placing a piece of anti-cut fabric (the finger of an anti-cut glove) between the metal connections. It worked great and has held up for many years now.

We put a rope swing on it and it works great! Nice looking and heavy duty!

After my ring in the ceiling failed, this approach worked really well but notice I use a separate bearing swivel and a spring. The swivel means it spins really easy without relying on this ceiling fixture to be able to spin, which it doesn’t do nearly as well.

Can’t beat it for the price. I have two now for spider swings. One is several years old. Several of my kids pile on and abuse the snot out of the swing but it’s never failed. Quality hardware supplied as well!10/10

It's as quiet as I could hope a giant metal swivel hook could be. Is it completely silent? No. It's never going to be. It's easy to install, sturdy, and everything you could want in a ceiling hook. We have a pod swing hanging from it for our child.
