It Works!
Exact replacement battery that I needed for my iPod classic. It doesn’t come with the tool to open the device though. Luckily I still had the tool that came with a previous battery change years ago. On a full charge you’ll have play for probably at least 8 hours or more.

Fits ipod classic 80G
So far so good. This fit a classic ipod 80G perfectly. Time will tell if it lasts, but it is a good fit and looks like the original battery. The only hard part is opening the ipod case but with proper tool it is very doable.

Perfect Match for IPOD 6th Gen 80GNB
Local uBreakiFix in Rockville Centre, NY couldn’t get a battery. I ordered this and they installed in my 2007 IPOD. I use my IPOD strictly in my Bose Sound Dock. My oldies are back and I couldn’t be happier.

Perfect
Repaired battery life to my iPod Classic. I still use it because it links up better to my car sound system.

Battery Is Exact Fit - Difficult To Open Ipod Case
Battery fit perfectly in my A1238, 80GB ipod, and its fully charged. Payed my music straight away. Opening the case is another matter - the You Tube videos I saw avoided the difficult part. I used seven small, flat-bladed screw drivers to insert at the interference tabs on the sides of the case - there are no tabs on the ends. You need to spread the case at the tabs (outward). Insert the screw driver (carefully, be patient, until you can see the tabs). The case will take enough outward bending to see the tabs. You need to leave the screw drivers in place and then ease the guts out of the case. Do not separate the case too far apart as there are two small ribbon cables - one is permanent - battery cable pops out of tiny slot at bottom of guts - be sure to notice batttery orientation when removing - good luck!
