Solid Gaming Performance and Amazing Lighting Effects
This is a great mouse for PC gaming enthusiasts (I don't claim to be a professional by any stretch of the imagination). I had a Razer Mamba wireless mouse for nearly eleven years prior to this before it finally wore out. I did a lot of research before purchasing the Mamba TE Chroma. Initially I was concerned by some of the reviews but ultimately, my personal experience with Razer products won out. I'm glad it did because I have no regrets. The Mamba TE satisfies both from a performance standpoint and an aesthetic one. I'll address the latter first. The Chroma feature is amazing. Period. Razer really nailed the LED lighting and it's unlike any other peripheral I've seen. Even my wife, who's approach to computers is entirely utilitarian, has mouse envy after seeing my Mamba TE lit up. All that said, the Chroma feature is a nice to have, it wouldn't matter if the mouse didn't perform, right? So the Chroma will carry different weight with different people. When it comes to performance, the Mamba TE doesn't disappoint. The shape is comfortable in my larger-sized hands and the textured grip surfaces are nice. The buttons are responsive and well-placed. I've run the Mamba on a mouse pad and straight on the desk surface and tracking has been flawless. The Mamba TE weighs less than my old Mamba wireless but that's to be expected without the presence of the lithium battery. Even so, the mouse is well-balanced and has a respectable heft to it. If the Mamba has a weak spot it would admittedly be the Synapse software but I personally haven't had any serious issues as reported in other reviews. I set my DPI presets in the software and they've worked flawlessly. If you're running games in windowed mode you'll get a brief OSD when you change your settings on the fly, which is kinda handy. Once or twice the Synapse software has turned off the Chroma lighting when I launched a game but that has been the only software issue I've experienced. If you're looking for a solid gaming mouse and are willing to drop some extra cash for the Chroma lighting effects, look no further - this is an awesome mouse.

The Search for a Perfect FPS Mouse is Over
The model I own is a wired Razer Mamba Tournament Edition. Though I haven't had this mouse for very long yet, I can say that this is the best mouse I've ever owned. (I've owned a Logitech G502, then a Corsair M65). Since I've only been using it a short time, I can't speak to its longevity, but I can say that it surpassed my expectations. I have had no tracking or performance issues, despite what people have said about the Wireless Mamba (as long as you don't try to tell Synapse to calibrate it to a specific mousepad). Also, this model is now compatible with Razer Synapse 3 and functions just as well as any other device running on that program (my other being the BlackWidow Chroma V2 - another incredible Razer product). The software does have some stability issues, but it has a beautiful interface and the stability has improved since I began using it (Synapse 3 is still in Beta and they definitely do listen to your feedback). The thumb buttons are in a very natural position and feel really nice to use. This is also by far the most comfortable mouse I've held (though I have small hands). The main two buttons also have a very satisfying click, as to be expected in this price range. Lastly, the scroll wheel in my opinion is perfect. It can be turned to the left and right for more potential buttons to be remapped and has the most comfortable texture I've had in a scroll wheel. I will update this review if I run into any issues that purchasers should be made aware of, but so far I can say that I am extremely happy with this purchase and would highly suggest this mouse (especially if you play FPS games).

The Ultimate Mouse
This mouse is great bottom line. The software provided by Razer (called Razer Synapse) is top notch and adds a level of customizeability. The DPI settings can be changed in an instant via the middle two buttons just below the scroll wheel which is useful for when you are working on office applications with low DPI and you would want to switch to gaming on the fly with high DPI. Speaking of office work, this mouse does a phenomenal job of the aforementioned. While it falls flat to industry leaders such as Logitech and their MX Master, it holds it's own very well. There are two side buttons which can be programmed to do just about anything you like through the Razer software (just don't expect it to turn into an airplane). You can record macros using the software which can come in handy for office work and the horizontal scrolling on the wheel is a nice touch and makes working on spreadsheets a breeze. The one thing I do miss is the scrolling toggle from Logitech where you can toggle between smooth scrolling to quickly scroll across a long page and notched scrolling for more precise scrolling. The Razer is constantly notched, which is a con for some. The lights on the mouse are extremely flashy and if you are using it at work, it can be turned off through Razer Synapse so it won't make your fellow co-workers' eyes bleed from it's neon-ness. As for gaming the mouse provides nice feedback, it's response time is instant and no input lag is detected, which is not surprising as this mouse is corded. The cord is braided and robust as with most all the other Razer products. The clicks on the mouse are satisfying and not too overly obnoxious. All in all it is the ultimate mouse for productivity and gaming.
