It's a good cover but it doesn't fit my laptop
It's a good cover but it doesn't fit my laptop. That's my fault though, so that's why I gave it 5 stars. I really like the cover and I wish I could use it.

Ripped and ill-fitting
The product is ripped down the middle by the GHJ keys and doesn’t fit properly! I made sure I bought the right model and everything and it still doesn’t fit. Wouldn’t buy again.

Fits like a glove
Fits like a glove as soon as you peal off the extra layer. This step isn't documented, but must be done in order for it to fit correctly. Keyboard illumination still works, but only the edges of the keys are now lit up; the key label is now dark. There is no way to get around this other to not type in the dark.

Somewhere between average and poor quality - will do the job
This item will do what you want it to do, no doubt about it. The issue is simply that it lacks in terms of quality. The silicon has small tears in it on the "U" and "Caps Lock" keys, and the fit (while easily manageable) could use improvement. My assumption is that these tears will multiply and grow larger with average use, so don't expect this to last you any longer than a year. Of course one could argue that you get what you pay for, but in a consumer world where products are competing for a sell, average and borderline poor quality are not acceptable. If you don't need anything of high quality and don't want to spend 15+ on this item, go ahead and purchase, otherwise: http://kbcovers.com/german-keyboard-cover/Oh, and for those of you who are upset because this product "isn't for US keyboards," please, read the description. This vendor sells a variety of these covers, you need simply to order carefully and select the appropriate one; there is one for US and Europe.AND... as always... Amazon was great.

Sweet.
The German keyboard cover works, but it came as two sheets, with the clear sheet backward. Had to pull the two sheets apart and reverse the clear sheet before I could get the overlay to sit properly on my wireless keyboard. However, now when I do my Duolingo German lessons on my iPad with adaptive keyboard enabled, I can touch-type the US version for English answers and glance at the German overlay for German answers. No need to reprogram the wireless keyboard. No need to cycle through screen keyboards. One keyboard, two layouts, auto-switch, and now the language overlay to help me keep the keys straight. Sweet.

A Couple Problems, But No Dealbreakers
After using this keyboard for one day, it seems to be a good keyboard cover. I do have a couple complaints, but they don't affect the overall usefulness of the keyboard.1. The two keys directly beneath the backspace key are switched around. This cover is only for a US MacBook Keyboard, so the keys should match the German keyboard that is programmed into the Mac. As you can see in the picture I have attached, the layout on the Mac has the "#" right underneath the backspace key, but as you can see in the product's picture (also included for comparison), the key beneath the backspace button is the return key and the one beneath that has the "#" key. It is quite a big overlook on the part of the producer, but it appears this is the only mistake (at least that I've found so far).2. As I said, I've only used this keyboard for a day, so maybe this will go away, but it seems to have a layer of powder on the keyboard cover. After typing for a little while my fingers feel like I've been touching latex gloves. Hopefully this will go away with more use.Overall I am very happy with this product. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a QWERTZ keyboard cover and I would have to put stickers on my keys, but this is a million times easier.
