Perfect fit
There's a Youtube video from replacementparts.com that made it foolproof to disassemble, troubleshoot and repair, even an old grandma like me. I would have ordered from them for a few dollars more, but I'd promised the grandkids pretzels for the weekend and there's no way I was doing all that kneading by hand. Only Amazon could get it to me in two days. The worm gear was identical to the old one, save the damage to the old gears. My mixer is working perfectly now and it always pleases me to understand what's going on under the hood. It was refurbished and I expect sat around unused for a long time. The grease at the bottom of the assembly was semi-hardened, I suspect the reason that gear got damaged.

Old to new again!
I was a little intimidated taking apart my Kitchenaid Pro 6 mixer. I couldn’t afford buying a new one and these parts along with a YouTube DIY video got my machine back up and running again🤞🍞🥖🍕

The right part for the right job
It took quite a while and a whole role of paper towels to clean out the interior of the mixer but once that is done these parts fit my model perfectly. There are videos on YouTube to guide you through the replacement. Make sure you get the food safe lubricant to complete the parts replacement (available here).

A messy job but it fixed my Professional 600
My Professional 600 started making a grinding sound. I looked at a few YouTube videos on repairing the Professional 600 and decided to tackle the job. After removing the cover and gear housing I determined that the worm follower gear was bad...teeth were bent over. I then removed and cleaned all the gears. I ordered this set which included snap ring clip and replacement gasket. (If you don't have snap ring pliers, you'll need to purchase one or buy a kit that includes the pliers. You'll also need grease...the 4 oz container is more than enough.)Replacing the gear is fairly easy, but messy because of all the grease. My repair worked out great.

Good kit to easily replaced KitchenAid mixer worn gear
Good quality and value on this kit to mantain/repair your kitchenaid. Only need to get a food safe grease to do the job. Google YouTube to find instructional videos and tips. It is not hard to do and it may take about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours if you are meticulous in cleaning the old grease. You may want to find an oil ring plier ($10 or so) to take in/out the securing washer. I did not have one and that was the most difficult and time consuming part of the process.

it was exactly what i expected
just followed youtube instructions, very easy to install, exactly fit. so far a week of use and see no issue at all. will come back to make more comments after one year use. btw, per my understanding, per original design, even it is correctly installed, this gear is supposedly to be replaced after a few years of heavy use.

OEM Quality
I didn’t need the gear and would have rather bought just the gasket and the clip. All three parts are with OEM or so close that I could not tell the difference. The price for the set was cheaper than Kitchen Aid wanted for just one of the parts. I was able to fix the mixer for less than what Kitchen Aid wanted just to look at it.
