BUY IT!!!!
This is my second ICarsoft OBD II Scanner. The 1st for my VOLVO (specific), it also paid for itself the 1st time I used it. This is for our Land Rover LR4 and works awesome. These are car 'specific' so make sure you get the correct one. They work great. Highly recommend, will and would buy again. It clears codes that most other OBD scanners will not, especially ABS and airbag. Easily diagnose codes and required repairs, if any. You'll pay more at an Audi, Land Rover, Volvo etc. dealers to clear the codes than these scanners cost. Two thumbs up

2011 LR Range Rover "Service Required" message reset
As we know with this particular RR, the nebulous message "Service Required" mysteriously comes on after engine start without warning or apparent reason. There is no indication what type service is required, it just means that the LR dealer has to reset it...after the service the vehicle of course...lol.I'm writing this review because there wasn't on for 2010/2011 RR's with this message and no associated oil light or any other indication (not sure if newer years have the same message). In any event, this tool resets the message. You'll need a Windows operating system computer, I dug one out of my closet and booted it up...using vista OS. Almost couldn't remember how to use Windows ha ha. Go to the icarsoft website and you'll download the update tool per the instructions, update the mini sd card (comes with a 2.0 USB Adapter). Then the tool will be updated and ready to use. Connects easily to the obd2 port with the included cable. Menu is very intuitive with a Land Rover selection. This tool also scanned multiple codes that were stored I had no idea were lurking in the Ecuador/vehicle processor. These are called DTC's. Diagnostic Trouble Codes. I tried to clear them without success. I didn't spend a lot of time on this. I was primarily concerned with clearing the 'Service Required" message, which again was successful. In Summary, great tool. Definately worth the buy.

You know better do better
I think everyone should have a scanned device for their vehicles so when they go to the shop they won't get scammed

Easy to use.
Works great and easy to use. Some of the codes I still don't understand. As far as I can tell it doesn't list specific po codes but does list active and pending codes. It helped me pass CA smog with the ability to see the readiness monitors status. Worth the money just for that.

Limited support on Range Rover P38 and TD5 trucks
This is a great device for the price. But to use it, you need to use it with a recent Land Rover.Documentation of the device claims compatibility with Range Rover second generation (P38) that carry a BMW engine. As expected it did not worked with my 1999 Range Rover P38a HSE with 4.6 V8 Bosh/Motronics rover engine (NAS spec.)Sad as I bought specifically to read the codes on this truck.I also tested in a Defender 1999 and a Discovery 2 TD5. In this case the manual claim support for them.I can say that at least for trucks with a first gen TD5 (P10) it does not work properly. Some features are supported, some not.The ones that do not work, return false/incorrect readings. The tool might work on second gen TD5 (P15 or higher) with the latest NNN ECU, but who knows.iCarsoft should include the specific models they tested their device with.So on the TD5 based engine trucks It did not worked properly in the following vehicles:- 1999 Defender TD5 (P10 engine) with older MSB ECU, Rest of the world spec.- 1999 Discovery 2 TD5 (P10 engine) with older MSB ECU, Rest of the world spec.Need to test Disco3/4, Later Range Rovers/Sport and Defender puma, but I know about reports that they work fine with those.Final comments, hopefully iCarsoft will update their documentation to specify what TD5/ECUs were certified or at least include support for Range Rover P38 with Rover V8 Bosh engine.

great product for rover owners. Great value as well
If you have a used land rover or jaguar then this product is a must to have on hand. Works great. Even a dummy could easily operate it. Great value.

2010 Range Rover L322 Full Size
Please make sure you buy this tool. It helped me recently when it came down to having a suspension fault issue. Taking your car to dealer and having to pay them for 1 scan and waiting for hours to get back what’s wrong with it is useless. Just using this machine once pays for its self.
