Nice fountain pen
I have a thing for pens. I love the feel of a fountain pen and this pen is great!

Beautiful writing instrument
I'm biased towards fountain pens, I love the feel of nib on paper. In this respect, I love pens by Sheaffer, Waterman, and Caran d'Ache.This pen holds true to the quality of the Sheaffer brand. It is exceptionally finished, well balanced in it's weight distribution, and feels "right" in the hand. I am using one with a medium point nib, and the ink flows out at just the right rate on the paper. Not so restricted to provide a lot of friction, and not as free as to blot the paper. The ink dries up within a second of writing.This pen is an absolute beauty, with a glossy lacquer finish on the barrel, and a machined/brushed aluminium finish on the cap. It comes with a piston converter, so you don't need to buy one. It also comes with two cartridges, one black and one blue, but I haven't used them yet.

I like it very much.
I like it very much. I first used a particular ink. It didn't perform well. With Pelikan 4001 it is great! A have a Shaffer which is red and the pair looks nice on my desk :)

Missing parts
The description is misleading! This pen does not come with a refill converter! I am going to return this.

Not like the other Sheaffers I own
Not like the other Sheaffers I own. This one is made in China and has a plastic barrel and is less substantial than I expected. It is "ok" in terms of its performance so far, but it seems closer to a fine nib than the medium as advertised. Had I realized it was made in China, I proably would not have purchased it and opted instead, for example, a Lamy (German) for about the same price. This Sheaffer is made in China, its box says Thailand and the accompanying ink Slovenia. It is a global device, that is for certain.
