So 1st thing 1st, I started writing this review to laugh at the guy who said there was too much fat on his and he wrote this negative review because of that claiming you some kind of expert because he's had three different kinds? Well if that were true then he would know that the fat is actually the most favorite and flavorful part of this kind of pig! 5Js Jamon Iberico and Jamon Iberico belleota is hands down the BEST that you will ever find! I'm not some kind of promoter for this company if that's what some may want to think. I'm retired military and I was stationed in Rota Spain for almost 10 years in the early 2000s and ever since trying 5Js Jamon Iberico for the first time I've never stopped thinking about it or comparing each different brand to theirs! I've seriously tried every known brand in an attempt to find something of the similar quality but just less expensive.... Well people I'm sorry to tell you but there is not any such thing! Please if anyone has information otherwise please speak up and let me and the world know? This is definitely 1 of those products that should be the face of the slogan/phrase ""You get what you pay for" but for all of those who haven't had Jamon Iberico do not eat 5Js for the 1st time because absolutely no other kind will fullfil your satisfactions/expectations for when you desire more! Which will always be once you've tried it! For those who speak poorly about it clearly thing their prossuto or Jamon serrano that they bought from their local grocery store or real "authentic" Italian deli market because they know the owner "Mario" is the way to go and nothing will ever beat his, had clearly NEVER tried it and has NEVER left Florida or New York! If you want claim something is "authentic" the go to where it originates from then you will actually know if something is similar after the fact but until then stops burning disinformation just so you can feel like your words are somehow important to someone else. I've been in 96 countries and will break a hundred this year. Nothing in the world besides the original is actually authentic! However sometimes things are better than the authentic. Anyways for anyone looking for a better product let me save you some time, stop looking there isn't one! You can however save money and go with any other product as long as your willing to give up what your paying for, amazing taste and quality!

This product is truly in a league of its own. Definitely a product I will continue to purchase.

Expensive, but a delicious treat!

We have been going to Spain for 20 years. I am very familiar with 5J; this was a disappointment. It was tough and chewy, the flavor was good, but this was not the quality I expected when I ordered it. This is my second order; both were disappointing. So, of course, there will not be a third.

I had high expectations for this product because I have been a fan of pata negra iberico acorn ham for years and even been to Spain to taste different varieties and this was the worst I’ve ever tried. Most of the product was fat and inedible, which I ended up throwing in the garbage. Obviously not eligible for return or refund, I contacted the seller and was told they are just distributors and I could call the manufacturer for questions or concerns. I thought distributors were responsible for the products they resell (gee, what was I thinking!). YOU need to learn to stand by your products! Try Fermin instead, not the best flavor but at least you get ham, not expensive lard which is what I received.

This arrived as advertised. It’s good in taste but this is not for everyone. This wasn’t for me sorry.

One corner of the package was off. Half of the package tasted great.
