COV-32200 Voltage and Surge Protector for AIR Conditioning Inverter Mini Split 240v 220V

Works very Good in inestable power grid like I Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. This save me a lot of money protecting my inverters at 240 volts, sometimes the voltage up to 272 ac and this product save the board of the inverters.

I have bought like 6-7 of this and they have been working great for 2-3 years so far.

Unit continuously cycles off unless set to maximum voltage. My power does not surge (per voltmeter) let alone for 3 seconds per spec. Not sure being required to set at maximum voltage provides much protection. I have returned this unit for a replacement to be tested. My service typically measures 238V.RE: REPLACEMENT UNITThis is ABOUT the replacement unit for the unit which not calibrated properly. It properly shuts down at the voltage read on my voltage meter. I did have to increase to 255V to avoid shutoff when the HVAC starts. This unit has been functioning properly for several days. So these units can work and a great price point. I understand the other criticisms, poor manufacturer QC.ADDITIONALLY I purchased a second (third) unit.This unit also properly shuts down (3V calibration variance) and has been working properly for a few hours. Unit was missing mounting screw (but I can handle that).

The item arrived quickly and seemed well made. I went and got a rainproff box and installed it between the disconnect and the mini split. Installing it was easy and setting it up was very easy. I powered it up and after the delay that I set expired the unit came on. We haven't had any spikes or brown outs yet so I don't know how well it works, but so far so good

Best investment to protect split a/c. Purchased after my first split ac burnt out after a power surge and cost me well $1200 with install then had to replace ac for another $1200 for a total of $2400. This $20 device saved me this time around so I purchased 4 more as backups. Living on an island we get a lot of brownouts/surges spikes whatever. In the photos it blew out the capacitors on the device rather than the a/c fair enough replaced in 5 mins for $20 saved $1200 that is all excellent product. Please note it does not blow out the capacitors like this all the time, it simply shuts off and clicks back 3 mins after the voltage is normal. BUY now but leave some for me.

In 2023 there is no excuse not to at least have 2 language instructions, its a simple product but still, spanish instructions are useless to meAs far as actual product i just got it so no idea how well it works
