Slowly adding weight to the home gym and these are great bang for the buck - the coating gives these a very high end look and grips make it easy to move around and use for various exercises

It's interesting how the price fluctuates. I bought a 45lb platein 2023 for 117 dollars. Now November 2024, the price is 130 for a 45lb plate shipped from Amazon.

Good quality. A little pricey, though. Might be able to find better deals.

I really love the grip part, these things can be used in a variety of alternative exercises. They're easy to move around due to the grip and gentle urethane surface, and the octagonal shape means they don't roll around when they get mounted to a barbell. These are exactly what I wanted for my home gym setup...which is just a section of living room in an apartment. Yes, they're expensive, all weights are very expensive right now and in short supply. If you've handled raw iron before, you know how easily even a tiny hard edge can rip up your hands - no worries with these.

What my partner and I liked about the FF weight plate is that there’s space to put our fingers thru to do behind the neck extensions with ease, or squats with extra weight vs holding a traditional bar bell. My partner wanted something of a lesser weight other than our usual hand weights, that wasn’t in pink or purple, and still light enough to not exceed his weight limitations due to his cancer condition. He so far has used them 16x over the past month which brings him joy. Happy customers, thanks.

I ordered four plates, two pairs in different sizes. None of them fit over my standard Olympic bar.I have plates in two other styles that fit this bar, so I am returning these plates.
