Very tasty and moist. i do 'doctor it up' a bit with some extra shredded fresh carrots, but other than that, this is just as good -- and a whole lot easier than making one from scratch :-) Definitely recommend.

If you're like me and you can't help but jimmy with almost any recipe, this mix is a great canvas on which you may put your individual stamp. Made just by the directions provides you with a moist and flavorful cake, but if you like to tinker, it makes great bars, specialty cakes, loaves, etc. You can morph it according to your tastes-- raisins, grated carrots,icing that's more cream cheese than icing, or just let it stand alone...which it does, magnificently well.Even better when it's at a good price.Emceemk says check it out.

My hubby bought this cake mix for my birthday this year after hearing me say how much I missed having carrot cake (tree nut allergy in the house so nothing with pecans or walnuts allowed around). After confirming the ingredients did not have the allergen included, making the cake was a breeze. The dry cake mix had an amazing aroma of spice and there were even tiny shreds of dehydrated carrots visible.The only complaint I really have is the amount of spice included. It was very spicy and even gave my hubby heartburn after eating a slice later that night. Otherwise, it was yummy and I'd buy it again if only to keep on hand for my next craving!
