Works great
I was pleasantly surprised how good this item works. I used it to clean out an old gas tank. I could feel there was something in the gas tank but was not moving much so I added this tank cleaner. After letting it sit overnight the stuff inside was sloshing around when I shook the tank. I was then able to remove a lot of sludge that was in the gas tank.

It worked
This stuff worked. Had some sludge clogging up the tank in my generac generator. We let it leak out as much as possible since it kept getting clogged. Then filled up the tank with some new fuel and some of the tank cleaner and left it there for a week or so. It seems to have liquified the sludge as it leaked out easily this time. We reconnected the tank to the generator and added more gas and some tank cleaner again and it finally started up.

Stuff is MAGIC gas tank varnish remover!
I bought a 2001 boat w/ a 120 gallon tank. It had 30 gallons of gas in it when it was parked. By the time I got it, there was no gas in it (all varnish and gum). When you would clear the gas lines it was milky brown and foamy w/ water. Completely terribleI tried 3 times to clean the tank w/ other options. Finally a boat guy told me to get this stuff and 20 gallons of jet fuel (basically nitro diesel fuel on steriods) put the mixture in the tank and let it set for 4 days. Every day, I had to hook to the boat and take it on a short drive to slosh it around. On the 4th day, I was to drain the tank of everything I could get out of it, then add 5 gallons of gas and drain that as well.I followed the directions above and that tank is as clean as the day that boat was made! This stuff works! For light varnish or tank contamination just use the starbrite tank cleaner by itself in the recommended mix. I now put the recommended mix in every time I fill up. I doesn't hurt and I believe it keeps my tank perfect!

It worked to clean my boats gas tank
18 year old poly tank in my boat had crud in it which made my motor stumble occasionally. I drained my tank, added 10 gallons of clean fuel and the additive per the instructions and waited a few days. I pumped the tank out again and re filled with good non ethanol gas and ran it hard. Had to replace 2 water separator filters but I’m good as new now with no issues.
