Frida Kahlo. The Complete Paintings

Lovely and beautifully presented book, showing all of her artwork, along with vital information about how the paintings/sketches were created. A must have for Frida’s work and needs to be a large, weighty book in order to really appreciate the beauty of each piece of art.

I ordered this book after watching the Frida Kahlo documentary on BBC iPlayer and what a wonderful testament to her it is! It was a big investment for me but absolutely worth it. It is BIG so be warned about that!The package arrived ok however when opening the outer sleeve to the book was damaged - it had clearly been done before despatch and I was disappointed with that!I contacted the seller and they acknowledged that the fault was they’re end and apologised and offered a small (15%) refund of money.Customer service was good and comms ok.I would recommend this seller ⭐️

This book is the most extraordinary art book I've ever seen. Very well written, highest quality printing, an encyclopedic volume on Frida Kahlo's life and art...An in-depth analysis on her experiences and outlook on life and politics, and showing how her intense physical and emotional suffering influenced so much on many of her amazing paintings. A compendium of her personal correspondence makes it all that more interesting. Yes, it's a big book, I would say huge and very heavy, not the typical coffee table book. Deserves a special place in your library, and not a flimsy table to go through its pages. Not cheap though but, as I see it, worth every penny!

This is a magical book, telling the story of a tortured soul in a pictorial way, quite simply the best art book I’ve ever owned or even seen. The layout is brilliant, as you’d expect from Taschen, and the colours are perfect as far as I can remember from the originals. I thought the Taschen book on Diego Rivera with its gatefolds was amazing, but this is even better, and tells her story so well with a mixture of reproductions of paintings, letters and other artworks, and is worth every penny. It’s a book to treasure over many years, but be warned, it is a big and heavy book and you will need to find a very special place to keep it and read it..

Fantastic if you like Frida. Its all there. More a coffee table (just add legs) than a coffee table book.

I purchased this book as a gift for my wife, and it was a huge hit. Huge is the word, because this book is very big and heavy because it is so comprehensive. The pictures are beautifully done, but the text is also outstanding. This is art book making at its finest.

We bought the XX Large book, complete listing of all of Ms Kahlo's work. High quality printing, nice paper, well bound. Quite heavy. We have the similar book covering Diego Rivera's work, I would say the Kahlo book is a bit nicer. Overall a great read and add to our art book collection. The XXL format & size won't be for everyone, it requires sitting at a table to read.
