This phone case is the sturdiest I ever tried. The previous best was the Otterbox, but when both I and my wife dropped our phones, Galaxy note 10 plus's, at different times respectively, when they landed on the corners of the case, while indeed the phones were protected from a screen shatter which is their purpose, the perimeter of the case in each phone fractured. The Ghostek Nautical is truly built like a tank, with reinforcement at the corners which will I am sure take a direct impact on concrete. It is so well sealed that no water won't get through, and I do believe its spec of 20 feet immersion at one hour. If anything, its excellent sealing of the phone becomes occasionally annoying when the flap over the microUSB socket is closed tightly - it is sometimes hard to get it open and therefore, I leave it slightly loose unless I will be around water. Get the frosted version on the back, it won't show fingerprints. The finger print area has to be applied carefully, but good instructions are given, and as with all cases, make sure there is no dust or fingerprints already on the inner surface of the transparent screen - that should be cleaned off first making sure you do not touch the finger print adhesive area with the cleaning cloth. We are using the cases on our Galaxy Note 20 5G ultras. That fine camera system on the phone is almost a sure bet to scratch easily because it juts out past the rest of the back surface of the phone - and in fact without a case you should never put the phone down on its back. However, the Ghostek case completely surrounds the camera area perfectly producing perfect protection of the camera system. All the ports on the case fit well and one has no problem accessing any of them, though it is a bit tight for the stylus, but then again, you sure don't have to worry about the stylus ever falling out by accident and being lost with this case. I gave it a 5/5 in every category except a 4/5 in the fingerprint reader only because the fingerprint sensor is slightly less sensitive with the case on then with it off. However, this is a minor problem because the facial recognition algorithm on this phone is so effective and easy to use. Another big plus - if you use a audio microUSB cable to get music out to a pair of headphones, it easily will plug into the charging microUSB slot with no problem from the case. A truly great product.

This case does exactly what it says. It has an excellent well thought out design with well crafted cuts, grooves and rubber rings/ flaps to give that perfect water tight seal. It gives me peace of mind that my phone will never get water damage. It is a bit on the chunky side which makes it an absolute unit but I don't mind because I know this helps with the cushioning effect from fall damage as the phone is nestled in the case. The fingerprint scanner is a bit hit and miss but to be fair, a lot of the dedicated screen protectors out there don't even work but the built in screen protector that comes with this phone actually works if you press a bit harder.

The case is solid and feel the phone is well protected and even very water resistent. However, the screen protector sits above the actual screen and causes a lot of rapid key entries and you have to press your thumb down hard to get the biometric to read. The rear camera cover is good. I wish it came with a belt clip holder. Other than that, decent case.

I don't often write reviews and only do so when I am thoroughly impressed. For starters the fingerprint scanner actually works and works well. Maybe not as quickly as a bare screen but close. It seems to be relatively tough for what it is and seals nicely. The phone is nice and tight against the built in screen protector so there is no "popping" sound or feeling. The plastic covering the camera doesn't interfere with pictures whatsoever, other cases I've had make pictures blurry or show halos around light sources. Yes, it's more expensive than I would have liked but you get what you pay for. All in all I'm happy with this choice.Pro tip: If you need to clean the inside of the screen protector, make sure the finger print scanner is cover with the protective film first or lint and dirt will stick to it permanently. Found that out the hard way on another case...

I only had this case a few days, because I knew instantly it wasn't for me, but I'll share what I learned.First off, it's probably waterproof. So the main selling point seems accurate enough; I wasn't doing anything too crazy or fully submerged, but water did fleck on the screen a few times and it was easily rebuffed. The screen didn't go crazy from having the droplets on it either, so that's a major plus. No 10,000,000 apps opening on contact.Second off: Even if you follow the installation instructions to the tee, you're likely going to have fingerprint issues. Not a big deal if you don't use that particular feature, but for me that's one of the main selling points on the phone itself. I removed the little fingerprint circle. I did everything as asked; my phone kept saying print not recognized, PRESS HARDER. I tried to upload new prints with the screen on, which I believe the instructions recommend, but I got the same error. Print not taken, PRESS HARDER.Then lastly, third, which was a huge surprise to me; the protector over the camera in the back: it made everything noticably blurry. It took me cleaning my glasses a million times before I realized, it wasn't just my eyesight being bad. So this probably isn't going to be the case to take on your snorkeling photo journey or what have you.Overall 3/5. It's a midrange piece with a top tier price, good if you don't mind not having the fingerprinting and if you aren't going for award winning photos but still want to be in / around the water.
