Great Book - An overview and introduction
Growing up in the US we do not lean anything about the Gurkhas, at least I did not - this through High School to a masters. I was first introduced to them through a co-worker from the UK. He told me about his and their fight in the Falklands. Thank you Martina Sprague for writing this little book. I read it in a couple hours. I could not put it down once I started reading it. It is written in a manner which most anyone can understand.

Basic, but pretty good
The book is short and pretty basic. If you don't know much about Khukuris, or the Ghurkas, you'll learn all the basic facts about both as well as some history and social context. You'll get a good idea of why this weapon is so unique and fearsome. If you know quite a bit, you probably won't find much new. Still, it covers the subjects fairly well.

Outstanding book and simple read. Didnt expect a great deal so easy read.
Much better Read than expected in a small booklet. Must have for any military blade collector library.

Incomplete
Nice attempt with some good information on an interesting subject but not developed enough and incomplete, this looks like a short essay that someone wants to cash in like a book

Excellent overview of the Gurkhas
An excellent and very informative book. This is a short book that is great for a quick overview of the Nepalese people and their terrifying history of the Kukri knife. Leave the reader with a new found sense of respect and admiration for these legendary warriors.

The "book" is a brief pamphlet on history of Gurkas ...
The "book" is a brief pamphlet on history of Gurkas. Little or no information on Kukri knives - very misleading title.
