Great unit works at least as well as expected. Fast shipping...would buy again.

Fantastic Japanese engineering design and build quality. Pretty easy to install, quiet during operation, and the multi-stage / variable gas valve + burner throttles in 6 or 7 steps between 5,500 and 11,000 BTU, which helps the unit to "home in" on the correct level of steady-state heat output to keep the space at a constant temperature.Also, the online vendor I bought from, efaucets, did a fine job with packing & shipping. The (6) individual units all arrived on a single pallet via truckfreight. I've installed 3 so far and all are working perfectly.

Appears to be a good unit. Easy install. The combustion fan is somewhat noisy in a high pitch. Biggest issue is the on board thermostat does not consistently control the temperature. The readings are way off. I most likely will get the external thermostat kit and hook my Nest thermostat to it.

I bought this furnace in Fall 2022 to replace an old wall furnace and it has performed very well throughout the cold winter, keeping the heat constant within about 2 degrees in my large bedroom. The bedroom is not heated by the main house furnace and is about 350 sq ft. It is very easy to install and use, no special wiring as it plugs into a standard wall outlet. I only needed to run some gas piping from my main line in the house to the heater. I like that it blows warm air at floor level keeping the whole room comfortable. The display is easy to see and use. I only set it to the heat I want locally on the unit and it does the rest. There are some other functions but I have not had a reason to use them. This furnace is designed and built very well as I expected from a Japanese manufacturer. I did not install a separate thermostat but that is an option. The only thing I do not like about it is the noise it makes each time the heat cycle starts. There is an igniter that clicks pretty loud followed by a short buzz when starting the heat cycle each time. I have come to ignore it and have no trouble sleeping, but my wife has complained several times about it. I'm hoping it lasts a long time for the price.

Works as expected installed by a professiona

On September 30 2020 we purchased this unit. On arrival we contracted with a local business to install it. When they arrived the install went well and the unit was up and running in a short time. During the winter the unit ran well, but by March of 2021 it decided it had a mind of it's own.When it felt like it, it would run normal. But soon the dreaded CODE 11 would show up and stop running.Numerous emails to the company were of no avail. By then summer had arrived so we could shut it down. By then the local installer thought the control board was the problem. The COMPANY thougt he should replace the igniter an the flame dector instead, which he did. NO LUCK.By now Winter was approaching and it was getting COLD. Luckily we had small electric heater to keep this room addition warm. After several lengthy phone calls with tech support and numerous ideas that didn't work out, the COMPANY finally agreed with our installer the it indeed was the control board. A new one was sent and installed and the unit has been running just fine.Now we can't get them to respond to our request for the WARRENTY to pick up the labor cost as it still is under WARRENTY. Maybe this review will get them to respond. Download the warranty sheet and be prepared to be surprised. A call to find a problem on the unit and when found and a part ordered is not covered under labor in the warranty. Lots of other eye openers also.Not a happy camper.At least the unit is still running.

Excellent performing heater for our 4 season porch. Install by our plumber was smooth and uneventful. unfortunately the unit came with a ding on the side which was not realized until installation day. Vendor was responsive and offer small credit for the cosmetic damage.
