This winter, my three year old cat started laying on the heating vents. Although this is funny, this can be unsafe for her and lead to heating inefficiency. She loves a similar disc-style hammock bed on a cat tree we had, so between that and seeing how I could situate it over one of her beloved vents, I knew we HAD to buy this when we saw it.Assembly is easy and straightforward and comes with all hardware and tools (an allen wrench) that you need! It ships partially assembled. In my opinion, it does not require the instructions to do correctly - it's just obvious and intuitive, and I say this as someone who is NOT the furnishing assembly person in the house. It took about two minutes, including removing from the packaging.The disc hammock's fabric is a mesh that seems durable - unlike the similar one on her tree that is fluffy, it will not wear away and mat down with time, which is great!If you're using it similarly to me (over a heating vent so they can have their way AND be safe AND not cause the furnace to run and run), you won't regret the purchase.She, a 7.5lb girl, loves it. Her younger siblings, who are similarly sized at only six months, are happy to double up in it and snooze.

My cat took to this immediately, even without bribing him with catnip spray like I've had to on every other cat bed he's had.The only issue I've had is that it isn't that easy to remove the fabric to wash - you'll want to make sure you kept the L tool to undo the screws so you can undo 4 of them to remove the top ring the fabric sits on, then take that apart to slide the fabric off. It just doesn't seem like this was made with the need to wash in mind - it would have been nicer to have either standard screw tops (so we don't have to keep track of another tool) or a way to pop off the fabric without unscrewing and pulling the top ring apart.Other than the lack of ease of washing, it seems perfect.

So I have two fatso cats, and this will not likely work for my situation:The Good:- If you have smaller or lighter cats, I think it will work fine.- Assembly is super easy and you can have it together in 10 minutes.- The packaging it comes in is super cute and has well wishes for the buyer written on it. Nice touch.The Bad:- The two beds are not very large. Not made for chunky or long cats. My cats are not interested in it because of said size.- The product has a light weight, when I put my cats in it and they immediately jumped out, it topples over. Which is a problem for when you are not there to see it fall over. It has nothing to do with balance at all, it balances fine, it just can't handle the force of a heavier cat jumping out of the top bunk.- The height was lower than expected. I measured it prior to purchase, but it is still lower than expected because of the bed sag. I wanted it to be closer to the height of my office desk/chair, so my cats would sit next to me while I work. It is not terrible, but I would have liked it to be higher.

Update as of 23 Nov 2022: Based on the review I wrote below, Junspow contacted me about my experience. They genuinely were concerned about my comments and offered to send me the updated/improved version of this bed to see if my experience would be more positive. YES!!! Kudos Junspow!! This version was super easy to assemble, the screws were more than adequate length and the "gasket" was eliminated. It went together exactly as it was supposed to with no issue whatsoever. This is a quality made item. The tubing is super strong and all holes aligned. I can wholeheartedly give my endorsement of the product now. Thank you, Junspow, for reading the reviews and for caring enough about your customers to improve your product-- and for asking me to give you another chance. I understand that the instructions are also being improved, but I found assembly of this design to be much more intuitive, and I completed it in about 5 minutes. I definitely recommend it now. Thank you again, Junspow! I'm a happy camper. Oh, and the kitty blanket from Junspow is also a big hit around here!Oct 2022: Wow. Assembly of this thing was some special kind of pain. I was tempted to rate it 1 star based only on the difficulty to assemble. Eventually I determined the screws were too short and I didn't have any longer ones on hand, so I eliminated the piece called the "gasket" in the so-called instructions, which helped. The instructions are written so poorly and the illustrations so small, they are virtually useless. Watch the video instead to get the idea, even tho for me that didn't totally help until I decided to not use the gasket. The assembly would also have been easier if the semicircular tube that holds the fabric went together with a flat spot where you attach the supporting legs. Mine couldn't get close enough to the supporting legs to also use the gasket because of the too short screws. Additionally, I couldn't figure out the order in which the pieces were to be placed. I believe it's the gasket closest to the fabric bed, then the semicircular tube that hold the fabric, then the semicircular leg on the outside. Orient the screws based on your preference. The assembly was a lesson in frustration to say the least. Too me way too long for such a simple item.As to the item itself, it seems sturdy. The legs are solid metal and the fabric seems durable. I expect cat claws will snag it pretty easily tho. My cats haven't used it yet but I'm hopeful they'll like it. If you want to wash the fabric, you'll have to disassemble the unit except for the crossbars. Given the difficulty getting it assembled, I think I would just try to wash it in my laundry tub.I'd rate this item 5 stars if the instructions were helpful/readable and the screws were the necessary length. If my cats don't love it, I'm going to be annoyed after what I went thru to put it together.

Just received this today. Easy to put together and very sturdy. Cats haven’t found it yet. They’re still playing in the Amazon box. Very happy with the quality of product.
