Fleisher & Ludwig's Textbook of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Seventh Edition

What I like most of all about this book is a large portion of it (Section II) is arranged by common presenting symptoms (fever, cough, crying etc.). I also like the clinical pathways section that presents a structured, stepwise approach to evaluation of various complaints. The book is written for Peds EM Physicians but I find it very useful as a Nurse Practitioner caring for kids in Urgent Care. It is well written, well organized, and explains things well.I do wish the online material for this book was more user friendly. It's a bit clunky and difficult to navigate.

Arrived in excellent condition.Unless you work in an ER or Peds ER (physician, PA, NP, or RN), there would be little reason to buy this book.But for those who do work in the ER, this book is the holy bible of Peds ER and has been for many years. This latest version is updated with some new chapters but overall has the same content that is needed to know how to deal with children in emergent settings
