Not loose, not tight, just Right!
So far so good. I own a Breville Touch BES880 machine. I searched everywhere for a naked portafilter with one major but very simple need: FACTORY FIT. And I found it. Not loose, not tight, just right. Fits both the grouphead and factory basket. Pulls great shots. Bonus was the price I paid. Didn’t mind the shipping leadtime. Fit and finish is on point, especially with its steel head and wood handle. 3 pointers for you:1. Does not come with filter basket. That’s okay because you’ll want to use factory/OEM.2. Briefly brew hot water out of grouphead without portafilter to moisten the contact points. Less friction and less effort.3. Does not sit level when at rest, which requires adjustment to tamp approach angle. Or get yourself an adjustable preset leveler/tamper.Extra food for thought: Like others indicated, I was concerned about the lack of reviews and feedback. Its low price compared to others made me very skeptical. I could have easily jumped on other naked portafilters that cost 2X-3X more, but the reviews all had a common theme: too tight or too loose. Didn’t matter if it used premium materials with stellar finish ... it’s useless if it doesn’t fit right, which can result in pulling bad shots and premature wear. My backup plan was to purchase a factory/OEM portafilter and modding it just to guarantee a perfect mate, but now I don’t need to. Hope this helps you.

Works great with Breville Bambino
I've been using it for nearly a year with my Breville Bambino and this works great -- no issues with the fit on the group head. The handle is not heavily varnished, but it is properly sealed and doesn't need oiling. There is no cracking/deforming/discoloration on the handle even after an year, with no special care.Note, it does not come with a portafilter basket, but Breville's stock baskets (all 4 of them) fit perfectly on this. And that's a good thing because I'd much rather use the stock Breville basket which are good quality or buy even higher-quality IMS baskets separately, than some random basket that may or may not be machined well.

Works well, looks good
The portafilter looks good and works well, I've had no issues. I'm using it with a 54mm Breville / Sage machine (Bambino Plus specifically, but it should work with all of them). There may be a fraction of a mm difference in tolerances fitting it into the group head, but certainly it hasn't been an issue for me even if the fit is slightly slightly looser. There was some metal burrs/threading scrap in the handle I removed with tweezers and you may want to add locktite... But it is good to keep water away from the wood,a silicon washer might be the ideal solution.Hand wash, dry off the wood. Got an IMS basket that fits great.

Great - after filing...
Overall this is really great quality - except out of the box the ears are too thick making it hard to fit.The portafilter body is stainless - exterior is well polished and interior has fine machine lines. The handle is nicely shaped, smooth, and finished with a matte poly coating. Great color and grain. The handle is attached with a thick screw set in the handle that threads into the body, so you can easily remove the handle and not get it wet for washing the body. Maybe a little more work than usual, but the handle looks great and the basket is what really just needs to be cleaned (this is bottomless!). The hole in the body for the screw was not centered, so if you look close the handle sits a little high. This might have been a manufacturing concession to avoid the drill going through the curve on the bottom. Not a problem for this price point. The Achilles heel here is the 3 ears that lock into the espresso machine. They're much thicker than the OEM and when I tried to put it on, it felt like I way overfilled the basket, and something was going to bend permanently. I definitely couldn't get it to perpendicular, much less full lock. Looking at it from the side you can visually see it is thicker than OEM. Since it is nice otherwise, I tried to see if I could fix it. I wrapped the polished body in thick duct tape, flipped it upside down on my workbench and took a bastard-cut file to shave down the bottom of the ears. The bottoms are slightly sloped and curved so some care is needed here. Overall it took maybe 2-3 min per ear taking off 1/64th-2/64ths, eyeballing it next to a Starrett ruler. Took a finer file to break the edges (so it wasn't so sharp). It fits well and turns with the same force as OEM now.As far as I'm aware, Breville only has one 54mm portafilter, so to market this one as for Breville, the customer shouldn't have to do this. I would knock it down 2 stars from an otherwise 5 star product. probably have made this a 3. The price bumps it up a half point, and if you are a little handy with a file it is not a hard fix, making it a 4.

The best bottomless portafilter for breville 870xl, breville barista pro
I have a breville barista pro. Previously, I used the 870xl. The portafilters of both products are the same. If you want to buy a bottomless portafilter, this is the best opportunity for you. I constantly searched for Amazon and eBay in the UK, Amazon and eBay in the US, and even Aliexpress. With every product there were doubts and problems that hesitated to buy. I finally met this product here, tried it, and thought about returning it when there was a problem. Once the price was low, I didn't expect it. The goods were delivered, but I didn't even open them quickly. But now every time I see this product, I've been staring at it for a while. It's perfect material and quality. It works perfectly on my breville barista pro. If you are good at grinding and tempering the coffee beans, the espresso will never splash. The extraction of the perfect espresso was done. There is only one part that needs to be adjusted. There is a problem that the basket easily comes out of the portafilter. This will be solved by removing the parts of the original portafilter and replacing it.With this product, the pain of purchasing a 54mm bottomless porter filter has disappeared forever.
