Q: Does this eliminate the need to start the mycelium in a petri dish with agar? i.e the solution is mixed with spore print shavings?

How I used it is I made it by the directions. 1 teaspoon of the premix to 1000mL of water. Dissolved it in a sauce pan on the stove. Then pressured cooked at 15 psi for how ever long. Then injected a spore syringe into the solution. Which then basically makes a butt ton more of mss solution to use as one should desire. BOOFING of course!!!

Q: How many ML of liquid culture can be made from one bottle of this product?

The instructions state 1 teaspoon per 1000 ml of water and there's about 27 teaspoons per bottle so about 27,000 ml of liquid, give or take shrinkage from boiling / straining.

Q: I bought this product and used it once, and it worked good. I'm have no experience. Why is it clear? All youtube videos show brown culture. curious.

Did you inject a spore solution into it and let in sit approximately 10 days?Brown specks sould be the spores they injected and the liquid you kind of look like spunk.

Q: Does this contain peptone? If not, do you have a recommendation on how much to add per 1000ml?

You won’t need peptone with this product. Ive made hundreds of lc syringes with this that have lasted me nearly a year so far. As to the contents of this mix I have no idea if it actually contains peptone. But I can promise it works well and if your not seeing as much growth as you want increase the amount you add to your liter of distilled water I get the best results with double the amount suggested on the bottle. This is product is the real deal and will leave you with clean and clear cultures as long as your cultures and work area are clean.
