Stanley Ash Vacuum 4Gallon 4HP SL-18184, 4 Gallon, Black & Yellow

I bought a house with a pellet stove a few years ago and didn't realize how much ash is created as a byproduct that isn't caught in the tray. Whenever I would use a standard shop vac to try to clean it, most of the dust just became airborne.Desiring a cleaning option that didn't just relocate the mess elsewhere, I sought out this device. I was initially worried about the size of the unit, but it holds a surprisingly large quantity of material. With the double filter system the airborne dust issue has been eliminated completely. It's lightweight, but sturdy.If I had list a criticism it's that I wish there were attachments included with narrower openings. I knew this wasn't the case when I purchased it, but it would be a nice addition.

This vacuum is powerful and does the job very well. Good suction.

This is a great ash vacuum. I've used it numerous times and there's *never* been a problem with ash escaping. The only issue I have is that I wish it came with some attachment that would prevent larger chunks of burn wood from getting sucked into the hose. They get trapped there, stop the vacuum from working and are difficult to get out. Sometimes I've had to resort to a broom handle. But if there's just fine ash, or if I'm careful and only go after ask, vacuum works great.

My old one died, so I needed a new one and this one works great. I was very impressed with the amount of suction this vacuum has. It picks up the ash great, I’m very happy with this purchase.

This vacuum stopped working after the first time. Do not buy this product..could not return because I did not try it within the first 30 days. Extremely unhappy with this product!!!!

Not big, not powerful but does the job with the pellet stove. T would be better to have a crevice nozzle included.

I actually ordered this to use in vacuuming all of the ash out of my pellet grill since it is a smaller size than my shop vac that I grew weary of hauling up/down the stairs each time.Let me just say, this was a fantastic choice since it does the job admirably. I also use it to clean the ashes in my wood burning stove. At no time do I vacuum hot ashes, but I am sure this thing could if I removed the cloth filter.For my purposes, this is the right size and is quality built so, I expect it to last for many years.
